Realistically I know the reason conservative politics is dominated by people who are so old they're making campaign speeches while actively dying is because they don't value or believe in anything other than personal power and thus won't cede even a millimetre of influence as long as they're alive to wield it, but sometimes I like to imagine that part of it is that they're legitimately running out of people who are big enough assholes to replace them.

Tumblr isn't any less aggravating a site to discuss trends in popular fiction on, but it's often aggravating in a different way. On most platforms it's a struggle to find people who are aware of any authors outside the very biggest names currently in publication, while on Tumblr half the responses are from people who have extensive knowledge of the classics but have evidently never read any fiction published this century.

Both "het is only cool if the guy's getting pegged" and "het is only cool if the guy's dick is like three feet long" are kind of nothing stances by themselves, but holding both of those positions at the same time? Honestly, that's almost respectable.

i had to double-check this to see if it's true and it is; the flowerysoda heals the other party members 50HP, and outside of battle, ralsei obviously refuses to drink it. however, in battle, it heals ralsei by 200HP. it really is ralsei's obvious favorite, that's a huge difference; i was entirely under the impression that it was just a one-off gag.
