Hal in his moment of anger choosing to remember his brother as never seeking him out meanwhile we got shown Thjazi did seek him out it just wasn't how Hal was wanting or thought Thjazi needed bc he is the big brother and he has the more sound decision (in Hal's mind). So now Hal thinks Thjazi did everything alone out of desire to do it alone and not bc he unintentionally drew a hard line in the sand back when Thjazi reached out his hand to be with him is so good like wowowow

#that cold open is only getting meatier with time #i think both of the fang brothers walked away from that night with very wrong ideas of each other #and it rippled out across the rest of their relationship #i don't think hal could see in that moment how desperately thjazi wanted his support #and though he tried to convey that he very much wanted thjazi in his life #it was only through the lens that made sense to hal and one thjazi couldn't accept #and hal never really managed to 'get it' in all the years since #and thjazi walked away thinking that because hal couldn't support him in THIS specific way in THIS moment #that it was better that thjazi just leave hal out of things entirely #even though hal might well have been willing to help him in capacities that weren't fighting as we're seeing now with the Schemers' table #the tragic sibling relationship is *chef's kiss*#halandil fang #thjazi fang
