bizarrely i do actually think tumblr is one of the most bearable social media sites that still exists. i will genuinely be sad when they inevitably shut this place down because it’s generally a very chill and nice place these days compared to idk Twitter or even reddit

Graphic designer here. From a web design perspective, Tumblr is very personalized towards user experience. The national news isn’t screaming at you in the corner like Twitter, there’s less information overload as Facebook, and not as gimmicky or in your face as Instagram or Tiktok. The user interface is also quite simple and accessible. You can customize the look of your blog to whatever you want and the stuff on your dash is generally stuff you agreed to see based on who you followed. You can even change the look of your dashboard based on the 12 presets they give you. One’s experience on tumblr is based on how they choose to engage with it, which is why I think all in all it’s pretty chill and less stressful than other social media sites. There’s less pressure to perform I think.

This is a literal goblin hellsite that makes next to nothing on advertisements. It's literally the only website worth using.
