THE RICK EXPERIENCE IS OVER

This isn't going to be a callout post, or anything of the sort. This will be completely out of character, much like most of this blog was now that I look at how Rick actually acts. I started this account when I was 15 years old (Yeah, a lot younger than you probably thought), I had just gotten out of a horrible relationship and my grandparent was hospitalized. I found hospitality in the Tumblr community for Rick and Morty, so I started this blog. I made friends, and hell, I made enemies. I want to thank everyone that I met, that I talked to, that I was or am still friends with, thank you for all the memories, even if they weren't so great. This account means an incredible amount to me, and it will stay up as an archive to look back on and admire for the rest of my life. I met some wonderful people, thank you deepseagiants for being there, an thank you Sleepy for being the best brother I could ask for. Staying up late in the nights, hiding from my parents and roleplaying are some foundational memories that I will cherish forever, and I seriously thank everyone who roleplayed with me, even if we aren't on good terms anymore. All of this being said, I want to let all of you know something important. ThatOneRick is not dead, Star is still alive, and MXTAL is still a thriving relationship. The mod of metal-rick and I are really close friends to this day, and without this blog I would've never flown out to go see her, go to her work, drive by her house. This blog is one of the best and worst things that ever happened to me, and it will forever mark a turning point in my life. Hell, I'm booking a tattoo appointment in the years coming to get something to commemorate it.

Me being a dumb kid does not excuse the actions I had, and the people I hurt. Time passing is not an apology and I'd love to take all the words I can to apologize to people I may have wronged, though it's time for me to move on.

a knock can be heard from outside the guest room. Rick, despite being 6'6 felt so small, all of his tension gone because he must care for the younger. "Hey kiddo, you doing alright, have you gotten some sleep yet?"

Nox sat up at the knocking, messy hair sticking up in every direction. The mattress was soft, the blankets warm and cozy. But his sleep was fitful and restless as ever—it showed in his still-tired face, and the way his fingers anxiously clutched the fabric of the blankets. “…u-um, I-I tried t-to, b-but—but um..n-no…n-not…not r-really…”

His voice became very quiet at the end of his sentence, and he couldn’t look the Rick in the eyes. The man was going to all this trouble to try and help him, yet he still couldn’t sleep. It made him feel bad, like he was wasting time and resources, even though his problems with sleep weren’t really his fault.
