Tbh it's offputting to me in fanfiction when Kirk is mega pushy to Spock with the whole expressing emotions thing when in canon Spock is forced to express emotions and Kirk is foaming at the mouth pleading for them to stop bc they're hurting him

Not by any means an original thought but Kirk abandoning every person he's ever faintly loved or had feelings for for his career and his mission then repeatedly being like "it doesn't matter just fire me strip me of my command if I lose Spock I'll lose literally everything including my soul don't even worry about it" is immensely important to me

love when people arrive on ds9 and theyre like. hey so whats up with the guy running the only bar who is clearly scamming everyone. is that not. illegal. and the officers are like oh is quark scamming people too obviously? we'll send odo. to arrest him? no. they'll exchange psychosexual threats and leer at each other. and that will stop the crime? haha. of course not.
