You Can Bring the Villainy most likely! I really want to finish it because it was also the first thing I posted on my sonic specific ao3 account :3 OR!! I Bet On Losing Dogs. That one I really want to finish up as well, cause the last part is a bit of a wild ride. ❤️

(and because the question said tell us about it, prepare for rambling:) I know I set up Cassandra as the main antagonist going into the next part, but she's actually a) a rational-ish person and b) from her perspective, she's not in the wrong for what's about to happen. G.U.N not so long ago revealed that it massacred an entire space colony of people and covered it up, and not only that, but said space colony was developing WMD’s, and one said WMD sliced the moon up like it was nothing—and everyone on earth watched that happen. (And it most likely resulted in some chunks entering the atmosphere, the parts that didn't burn up caused damages, etc.) I'd say sentiment on the U.F. military and U.F. government is pretty low. She's been appointed Sec Def by a president who's scrambling to save face and reinstate trust in an inherently untrustworthy institution. She wants to hold G.U.N on the tightest leash possible while half of the way G.U.N operates is in the shadows/obscurity of the law. And now her kid has been (what she assumes) physically assaulted and most likely permanently disabled by one of the 'weapons' G.U.N/the U.F. covertly contracted Gerald Robotnik to make. A weapon that Commander Tower personally vouched for in his ability to control, etc when contracts and agreements on G.U.N. and the U.F.’s responsibility in what happened were drawn up in the Eclipse Cannon/Final Hazard aftermath. So yeah… 🫩🚬

[Also the Secretary of Defense position is meant to be held by a civilian as it ensures civilian control of the military. It's one of the things that predates the Constitution, but is also written into it as well. It's been debated before, but yeah... Anyone that serves in the Sec Def position *must* have been out of military service for a certain number of years to guarantee this civilian status. I made Cassandra a civilian military criminal defense, etc lawyer specifically, chosen because of her history of holding the military accountable for taking care of its people and its actions. So there's a whole PR/political angle here, rather than just choosing her for the cabinet because she's served in the forces for decades or anything like that. Basically, they're grasping at straws as a government to keep what little trust people have in them afloat. Also! The politics of the Sonic Universe and military command structure is.... Basically magic beans and pixie sticks, so who gives a shit if it's super accurate or realistic 💔😭 I just need it to at least make sense to the story I'm telling.]

And, if anything, the main antagonist here really is just G.U.N. and the government LMAO. Especially because, well… You'll see. Let's just say they covered up a lot more than just a military massacre on the ARK. Doc's photos and other evidence didn't just disappear when the ARK raid happened. G.U.N. combed that space station top to bottom and collected everything they needed to seal up and keep quiet, and left behind whatever they couldn't drag home with them (the Biolizard 😭). The command of G.U.N. has also changed a lot of hands over the years. Things get buried. People forget. 🚬 Dogs lose, one might say...

14 ⧽. is there anything outside of your normal content that you want to write?

Honestly, not really? I don't usually write things I don't enjoy writing. Not sure if I'd call any of it content like the ask game words it, but I write stuff because I get possessed by an idea (through my mind or by my dick) until I put pen to paper. So, my stuff is always gonna probably look like the stuff I normally write(???), I think?? because I'm usually just writing so I can be freed from the thoughts and visions. 😭

3 ⧽. what's something you like about your writing?

Sorry, I'm trying not to say anything that repeats what I said in the other ask, but UHHHH I think I like the way I write characters who are so emotionally constipated it wraps back around into pretend competence and a false sense of self awareness sometimes. Like sure, they know they're not acting rationally, and might even be able to name the what and the why of it, but they're doing it anyway. Because fuck it. Why do anything else? Maybe they should just be worse for each other, or to themselves. 🙂‍↕️❤️

3 ⧽. what's something you like about your writing?

That it's wholly and totally my own voice no matter what happens. That it doesn't sound exactly like anyone else's writing does either— but ☝️🙂‍↕️❤️ very importantly, you can see the echoes of everyone's writing I've ever loved in the spaces of it. I owe a lot to my favorite fanfic writers and my favorite published authors that I obsessively read over and over to try and learn how to write and improve my craft as much as I can. 😭 I've been banging rocks together and hoping it makes fire since I was a kid, and it's somehow worked out so far.

I also just like the flow of my writing… 🤔 💬 idk. It used to be kind of clunky and clumsy, but it has more of a rhythm to it now. It doesn't ever feel boring and it's just kinda like boom, maybe you wanna read it in one sitting (or at least, my comment section would lead me to believe that's the case😭). Which is what my favorite pieces of media do for me! :3 so hopefully I can continue to emulate that. ❤️‍🩹

18 ⧽. how do you want your writing to feel to your readers?

Like torture. 🫩🚬 JK. Sort of. Maybe. In all seriousness, if I am torturing a guy, I want you 🫵 to feel it too. I just want whoever's reading my stuff to live in this person's head from the first line to the last line of whatever they're reading. You should probably also experience something, hopefully. Otherwise, I haven't really done my job. I also want at least one person to realize cringe is dead and you can read and write whatever you want forever. Who cares. I also like making and showing people nasty, ugly, gritty, gross, disgusting stuff too. Especially when someone tells me they don't usually read dark fics or topics that pop up in my stuff, but they stuck around to read it all anyway. The grotesque is really cathartic in a way, and it'd be really cool if even just one person on the fence about it all realized it's okay to play around in the mud if they really want to and maybe even write something kinda gross as well :3 (also because I want to read it. Pls pls pls. I'm begging…. 🥺❤️)
