Prime bros β a more or less non committed collaborative effort of random.headcanons and drables between me and @/000marie198 and anyone else who has thoughts and wants to join in on the fun on the idea of having the Shatterverse foxes (Nine, Sails, Mangey and Tails) living together in green hill and causing mayhem because the way the show left them was bullshit and unsatisfying!!
The same but different is my own personal version of the prime bros universe that is now actually being incredibly slowly written and the first three chapters are on my Ao3!!
Project 09 β a Tails gets adopted by Eggman AU except it's Nine getting "adopted" by the Chaos Council and to no one's surprise, it fucks him and everyone else up in a special way <3
Over the hills β is a Dreamtale and Sonic crossover brought on by The Nine-tailed travel guide through the multiverse event conceived by @/Donelywell and mashed with my long time held dreamswap au idea of Dream taking Night and running away from the village after taking some drastic measures, that is also posted on Ao3!! (more stuff will come to it in time. I hope)
running from a Nightmare β another Dreamtale au, this time about corrupted Nightmare being set loose on the Sonic world by none other than Eggman and the suffering that comes with it (also fighting tooth and tail to get it written)
the n 'n n's (read as m&m's) β unserious crossover where I put Nine Night and Nimona together and have them be silly (perhaps Nuzi will tag along some day too...)
And because I keep having Dreamtale & Sonic thoughts, I do lump them all together under the dreamtale and sonic tomfoolery tag!!
prime arcane β as seen above, I like arcane!! Jinx and Nine are eerily similar in their sibling and identity struggles, I put them together, boom an Au :D other characters are there too but I need to get around actually designing them....

Nott sure how to put this into worlds properly but I've been thinking about, in a potential Future AUβ’, Nine being much more direct and open about asking for comfort and reassurance than Tails would ever dare to be simply because he's always been much more direct in solving his problems in general, and the novelty of having people making sure he's cared about is something he'll never let go of
Not that there wouldn't be barbed wire concrete barriers in his brain about it most of the time, but it would be less of Tails' ever popular 'Repressing everything and emotionally clamping up under the belief he has to soldier on through all of his problems on his own because he's a big boy now and nobody else can know about his inadequacies lest he dare burden them with his childish whims that should've been left behind years ago', And more of Nine just genuinely straight up forgetting asking for help is an option and retreating into isolation for the familiar comfort of it lmao
I like to imagine him having a sudden moment of clarity amidst the Torment Spiral like Oh. All he needs to do to fix this bs train of thought is go sit next to one of his friends on a couch for a couple hours and maybe ask for a hug, like it's that easy what the hell is he going on about
Until it isn't that easy at all ofc but what I mean by all this is that I think it would be funny if Tails and Nine made a sort of a pseudo switch in their social attitude years down the line
They would influence each other in this so much too. Like Tails thinks Nine is so cool and independent and confident and wants to be like that for his own and everyone else's sake (< bad idea) and Nine looks at Tails and his ability to be vulnerable with a loving support network and goes hey I want some of that actually gimme
Not that Nine would ever wear his heart on his sleeve or be as chipper as Tails or that Tails would ever waver on his selfless desire to be a hero, but Nine wouldn't be pretending and pushing himself into believing he doesn't need others to worry about him at all either
