Prime bros – a more or less non committed collaborative effort of random.headcanons and drables between me and @/000marie198 and anyone else who has thoughts and wants to join in on the fun on the idea of having the Shatterverse foxes (Nine, Sails, Mangey and Tails) living together in green hill and causing mayhem because the way the show left them was bullshit and unsatisfying!!
The same but different is my own personal version of the prime bros universe that is now actually being incredibly slowly written and the first three chapters are on my Ao3!!
Project 09 – a Tails gets adopted by Eggman AU except it's Nine getting "adopted" by the Chaos Council and to no one's surprise, it fucks him and everyone else up in a special way <3
Over the hills – is a Dreamtale and Sonic crossover brought on by The Nine-tailed travel guide through the multiverse event conceived by @/Donelywell and mashed with my long time held dreamswap au idea of Dream taking Night and running away from the village after taking some drastic measures, that is also posted on Ao3!! (more stuff will come to it in time. I hope)
running from a Nightmare – another Dreamtale au, this time about corrupted Nightmare being set loose on the Sonic world by none other than Eggman and the suffering that comes with it (also fighting tooth and tail to get it written)
the n 'n n's (read as m&m's) – unserious crossover where I put Nine Night and Nimona together and have them be silly (perhaps Nuzi will tag along some day too...)
And because I keep having Dreamtale & Sonic thoughts, I do lump them all together under the dreamtale and sonic tomfoolery tag!!
prime arcane – as seen above, I like arcane!! Jinx and Nine are eerily similar in their sibling and identity struggles, I put them together, boom an Au :D other characters are there too but I need to get around actually designing them....

If you got this before, I really apologize and you don't have to answer me but in your infinite! Tails au, how is Sonic doing mentally since it's his little brother going through all of that? I hope I made sense asking this
dw i love yapping about this au and will take every opportunity to do so! even if it’s something ive already talked about bc i may have new thoughts lol
anyway sonic is doing bad. like really bad. the way i see it is that over the course of the au, sonic is stuck in 3 different kinds of prisons
the first is, of course, the actual prison cell on the death egg where he can only watch helplessly as his baby brother is treated like little more than eggman’s pet dog (on the rare occasions he actually sees them) and as the world burns to the ground. he’s forced to stew in his own guilt over not being able to help the people on mobius fight and not being able to save tails in time
the second is the resistance hq. his friends don’t have bad intentions, they’re just worried about him and his safety, but that doesn’t change the fact that he feels trapped. he’s not allowed to leave without explicit permission (either for a mission or to just stand outside). the only privacy he really gets is the small room he’s staying in. he’s also stuck with people he’s be ok with never seeing ever again in his entire life (aka resistance members who want to kill “infinite”)
he understands why they don’t just let him leave— if he were to just run around wherever, eggman could track his energy signature back to the base. he could also get hurt or captured again and they can’t risk that— but that doesn’t mean he likes it
the third is a prison of his own making. when tails is rescued and is in recovery, sonic dedicates most of his time to taking care of the kid. that’s not to say that taking care of tails is like being trapped or anything, it’s his mental state
he’s not going on long runs because he’s afraid that the second he leaves his kit alone for longer than a day, something will happen to him. he’s not processing what he went through during the war, just keeping himself busy by helping tails and restoration when they call for him. he can’t just sit with himself because he’ll start to spiral and he can’t admit to himself or anyone else that he needs help
Ive been wanting to like wake up at least around 7am every day and go outside for a bit cuz thats when its actually livable out there and I really dont need another summer of losing my mind due to a lack of sunlight, but you see, I made the mistake of slowly assembling my bed into being the comfiest place in the world and now its so stupidly hard to leave

Surge means SO much to me its hard to really explain! She's one of my favorite characters in not just Sonic but fiction alone! She's so complex and well written! She deserves so much love!
Her story is so captivating in a way I don't see often, especially in sonic! She longs to break her programing, and yet, unconsciously, she still always falls into it. She's such an amazing representation of trauma and how hard it is to grow and move on from it. There's no way she can completely forget about her trauma. The best she can do is try to learn and grow, in an effort to be her true and authentic self. Not the self she was before, as thats impossible, but the NEW her. The new HEALTHY her. She can't go back to who she was, but the her she is now will only bring her more pain. She must consciously become her new self. She has to work for happiness, and its a hard endeavor that comes with a lot of very hard to swallow truth pills. She must abandon everything she knows and relearn everything in her life if she truly wants to live for herself and herself alone.
