When things like this happen, I think about all the people that say "it always rains in Oregon." If it always rains in Oregon, than why is more than half of the state on fire?

There have been fires throughout Oregon for most of the summer. Mainly small ones, but a few larger ones. Nothing like the one in the Columbia River Gorge, or Eagle Creek, or any of the massive fires raging today.

I live in Portland, and I never thought I would fear that I would have to evacuate or that my house or my memories would be in danger. I own a horse, and I am honestly scared he will be injured, trapped, run away, or any other drastic thing will happen to him. I am keeping my eye on the evacuation orders, and places where I can send my horse. I start my senior year of highschool tomorrow, but I am more terrified to leave my house than starting school. The closest fire to me is 100miles away, and the closest city that has been evacuated is 50.

The cause of Columbia Gorge Fire was of some teenage kids setting off fireworks. Teenagers have cause all this hell to thousands of people. People are being evacuated. The air condition is unbearable. People are struggling to breathe. I know from experience with Asthma that when put in a situation like this it is so hard and awful to breathe. These beautiful places will be scorched and destroyed, and

I am packing a bag. I am gathering my most important belongings. I am gathering any important papers for my horse. I am scared but I will be ready.

Today Harry and Ginny dropped off their son Albus Severus Potter at Platform 9 3/4 for Albus's first year of Hogwarts.

I'm crying. I want more. I need more. I need Harry and Ginny dating. I want Ron and Hermione dating. I want weddings. They have been apart of my life for so long and I feel both sad and happy. It feels almost like its ending. But I know its not.

After all this time? Always.

This world that JK Rowling has created will never end. Books and movies may stop being published, but the world she has created will live on in the fans.

Ok. Remind me why I watch stupid shows that end in stupid cliffhangers and I never know if the stupid people in charge of the stupid network will pick up the stupid series for another stupid season.

Friendship is a weird thing. 

I’ve been friends with this guy since 1st grade. It’s the same guy I mentioned a few posts before who is now in a relationship with one of my best girlfriends. 

We are going into our senior year of high school. So almost twelve years of friendship. 

Our friendship has kinda changed in the past year. Ever since the other friend, lets call her Anne, ever since she came along and they started to become a thing, Red and mine friendship has changed. 

Its been fun though. We have grown a lot closer. He knows things that I wouldn’t tell my own parents. (strict parents make sneaky kids). Also lets just say there was these weird couple of study halls were a lot of secrets came out. All I wanted was a sprite! 

Now that I think about it, our friendship is kinda like Harry and Hermione’s. They had been friends since the beginning of their time in school. As time progressed, they became closer. They never saw each other in a romantic way. 

They just knew they can trust each other with anything. 

I was thinking about this today because Red and I were talking after we had lunch with our principal. We are both on the Executive Branch of Student Goverment, and we ended up staying back and just talking after the meeting was done. We just caught up. It felt really good. He asked if I was happy for him and Anne, which of course I am. IT TOOK LONG ENOUGH.

I absolutely love all of the items! The Marvels Assemble TShirt, the Marvel logo sweatshirt, the Ladies of Marvel tshirt. And those jackets. Like the Captain Marvel one. I have to get one of those. I do wish they carried everything in plus sizes. I am a bigger girl, and I am close to not fitting in the 3x size.

But I especially love the purses. My absolute favorite is the Captain Marvel purse. Its chic but its not completely nerdy. It’ll stand out everywhere.

So I am going into my senior year of highschool and am feeling a little nostalgic about all the friends that have come and gone through my class. I was trying to find anyone I wasn't already friends with on Instagram, and I actually found my first crush. 

Now this guy left my school in sixth grade, and I haven't seen him since about middle of seventh grade. We had met in third grade, but he shadowed the school in second grade, and he remembers seeing me eating a chocolate muffin. I have no recollection of this, but he would always bring it up. 

The two of us were very close. We were always together at school. Whenever we got the chance to choose our own seats, we would always sit together. We were so close that I am honestly surprised we weren't sat down and talked to. This guy was like my best friend. I was usually the only girl at his birthday parties. He told me in fifth grade that he liked me and my blue eyes. It was really sweet. 

Well I debated for a while to actually follow him on Instagram. I wasn’t stalking him, but just wasn’t sure about it. I don’t if he even remembers me. But I was having a girls night a week ago, and at 3am I finally did it. 

So two of my closest friends are so close to being a couple. They aren’t yet, but its close enough that everyone around them knows and expect it to happen soon. I have known they guy for almost 12 years now. We have been in the same class since first grade. The girl I have known for only a year, but she has become one of my closest friends. 

The boy knows exactly what he is doing. Its impressive. He’s getting close to her family. He’s listening to her. Today he even asked permission from the parents to basically start the thought of the two of them dating. She was so nervous and unsure about it in the beginning, but she is getting really excited about it. 

They are the cutest. They are in this group that went on a retreat a couple weeks ago, and I was invited to come along. Throughout the entire week you could just see the chemistry brewing between them. A couple times a thought he was gonna kiss her. 

They have been really good about making me not feel like a third wheel. They try to always include me, and never try to leave me out of anything. But I know things are going to change, and I am so happy for them, but its so hard for me. I have a study hall with them next year, and its the period right after lunch. We can go off campus, and there are a bunch of lunch places around the school. It will be interesting to see what goes on between them during that period.

I am a 17 year girl living in Oregon. 

I go to a tiny private school. The largest class I have had is 18 students. 

I own a horse. His name is Dyson, and he is a 15.3 Appendix Quarter Horse. I love him to pieces, and he is the best thing that has happened to me in a while

I have always been single. There has been a couple times where I had an “almost” boyfriend, but never a real one. All the guys I have liked either leave the school, become a Class A jackass, or graduate two years before me. I also have known all the guys in my life for forever, and honestly I think of all of them as brothers, as I have none. Its kinda unfortunate.
