Lance Sweets is great representation for autistics whose special interest is people. Cause you can spend every day of your life learning about psychology and sharpening your social skills, until you're actually way better at reading people than most neurotypicals, but that's ultimately not gonna do much in helping you make friends. Cause in the end, no amount of social skills can make you stop acting like yourself, so you're always gonna be that weird kid everyone thinks is annoying.

well only one of these guys had an entire episode dedicated to connecting with an autistic patient. a patient that no one else could click with. who was shown as using the PSP gift for the rest of the show. who had his coworkers go "I think he's autistic" and then end with "he's not autistic he just wants to be autistic because he thinks social rules are dumb" which. is not how that works.
