'Umar was heard to say,

A very beautiful Dua I want to share with you

“Rise up, then. Mend your ways, start seeing what you are instead of calculating what you should become.”

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.

“You want to stick to Qu'ran and Sunnah? Then stick to the way of Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam al-Shafi'i and Imam Ahmad. رحمهم الله If they did not understand the Qur'an and Sunnah then I guarantee you that no Mullah, Molvi, Mawlana, Sheikh, Imam, Brother and Da'i in our time can understand it.”

Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:

“Whatever you’re meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible.”

“it’s a beautiful thing to be understood, but a powerful thing to understand yourself.”

And you, when will you begin that long journey inward?

“authenticity in connections is a spiritual prerequisite. i’d rather you come as you are, even when your light is dim and you’re not able to show up fully.”
