I love early TNG where they’re still trying to work out the characters because how does Worf not know about Rome when he was raised in Russia?

I really like the TNG approach to morality of saying you can only do what you think is best in the moment. There may be consequences you didn’t anticipate but the only thing you CAN do as a limited human being is assess the facts available to you and make the best decision and if that decision is made with the well being of others in mind, then it is a moral decision.
