Tng ending where Data opens a cat cafe would’ve been peak methinks
I just need data joyous
Data when you pick up a rock
I'm getting into making things like this and I will update if I make more!!!
Love how Data immediately becomes the most authoritative person in the entire show the moment he's in command of a ship.
And of course he is. He's playing a role like he always is. Less masking and more performing the expectations of his own idealised archetypes.
This role of captain is defined by certainty, just how his usual role is defined by its lack. He becomes his own foil and in so doing explores both what it means to be a scientist and a leader. It's... It's probably not that deep, is it?

Season 2 episode 9 "the Measure of a Man" from Star Trek: the next generation is officially the best episode of anything ever and my opinion cannot be swayed. I have felt every emotion humanly possible in just under an hour. I have sobbed and I have laughed and I have mourned. I cannot believe I've gone this long without knowing about this episode's existence. We need to make everyone on the planet watch this episode over and over until they comprehend the importance of choice and freedom and sympathy and how those ideas interact not only with each other but with legal, social, and safety systems. I am a changed person. I cannot fathom a universe where I never watched this show and especially this episode. I cannot believe writers, producers, directors, and involved crew were talented and thoughtful enough to create something so flawlessly intricate and comprehensibly beautiful. I'm in awe. Humanity is incredible. I've seen the worst of it and I've seen the best of it in this episode. If I could let aliens see one episode of anything to represent the idea of the human race, I'd choose this one. It's so utterly vulnerable about what makes humans flawed, but so optimistic and genuine about overcoming that. I am grateful to have been born and lived in a time where this media is available for me to watch whenever I wish.
Holy shit.
I was listening to You Spin Me Right Round by Dead or Alive and started hearing Data's voice and I literally love the guy but I'm sorry I can't listen to that song anymore until it goes away DUIHISUEHIFGSUEHFIUH
