"I'm sorry, what are you doing in my house? What time is it?" He looked at the person who was in his house. He clearly had gone all out the night before and was very much hungover. @rededgerpstarterblog

"You called me last night and told me to come meet you for lunch." Emersyn said as she looked around the house. "When you didn't show up, I got worried. You good?"

"You mean to tell me, that after all these years, you still haven't asked your crush out? It's really not that hard, I mean, they aren't married or dead, are they?" @rededgerpstarterblog

"I wasn't aware there was a time limit on crushes."

"That's because I didn't want you to think I just wanted a pump and dump, one and done sort of thing and I wasn't sure how to reach out."

"Pump and dump? Seriously?" she laughed. "Not sure how to reach out? See Paco, there's this thing, it's called a phone. It's great at connecting people."

He swayed with her and smirked. "I am doing so much better now that you're in my arms." He whispered in her ear. "I've missed you, you been avoiding me?"

"Not avoiding, just been busy." she said as they danced. "Besides, not like you reached out either."

He laughed. "Hey, you know those horns just make you love me more." He winked at her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "How have you been pretty girl?"

"I know no such thing." Her arms slid up and around his shoulders as they began to dance. "I've been good devil boy. How about you? It's been a while since I've seen you."

"Excuse you, that doesn't sound like me at all." He joked and looked at Emersyn. "I am a saint."

Sure you are." Emersyn smirked. "You forget that I can see the horns holding up that obliterated halo."

Juliette laughed. "Yeah, that's one way of putting it." She said as she bent down to place Layla back on the floor. "Sorry, Emmy. This whole staying in the mayors mansion until the lights come back on is probably the strangest event we've had so far. Layla is enjoying it though. How are you?"

"Just try to make the most of it. Make it into a game. Like how many people can you run into and how quickly can you figure out who you're talking to when you do?" Emersyn laughed. "I'm good babe. How are you two?"

"I am so excited for all the drama that will unfold. I know there's about to be some crazy shit."

"Oh yeah. I'll be happy to be a fly on the wall and see how this all unfolds."

"Oh hell yeah, it is." Atlas said with a laugh as he shrugged back to his best friend. "I actually am surprised that I haven't heard anyone complain about this event and being stuck here."

"Really? You clearly aren't listening then. I've heard a few grumblings. Some think it's scary, some are bored. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. "

"There's just something so magical about when tourist season begins. Not only because they boost our economy, but because it's really fun to see them make assholes out of themselves." @rededgerpstarterblog

"Just remember that you have no need to join in with their asshole antics." Emersyn warned. "You know how you can fly off the handle sometimes."

"To be fair, I don't care at all about the black out. Sure this is sketchy as shit, but I'm actually enjoying this event. I mean, how often does the entire town stay in the mayor's mansion?" @tfemersyn

"The mayor definitely comes up with some insane ideas. I can't wait to see if there is any drama after though. I mean scary things so bump in the night."

"Layla!" Juliette scowled to her daughter as she took her hand. "What did I tell you?" She asks sternly, bending down to pick up her daughter. "Don't run." Her eyes looked up as she met Emmy. "I'm sorry, Emmy. Are you okay?" @tfemersyn

Emersyn felt little arms wrap around her leg before she could see or hear her friend. "Ah, Layla girl!" Emersyn laughed. "Jules, I'm fine. Don't be so hard on her. This is like the ultimate game of hide and seek in here."

"Is it weird I'm all for this black out? I think it's cool shit. Can't say how anyone else feels about it." Atlas said with a chuckle as he looked over at Emmy with a grin. @tfemersyn

"Maybe to someone who doesn't know you." Emersyn shrugged at her best friend. "But I know you're more comfortable in the shadows so it doesn't surprise me at all that this black out thing is right up your alley."

Emersyn smiled, eyes lighting up. “Okay, I love that for you. Italy is literally the best place to get inspired. You could do fresh handmade pasta with really simple, bold flavors, like a vegan cacio e pepe or a rich tomato basil situation with good olive oil. And maybe some small plates too, like bruschetta flights with different toppings so people can try a little of everything.”

"Okay, yes, I love all of these ideas." She smiled at the blonde and looked at her. "Okay, if you weren't already a successful career woman in your own right with your hair salon, I would tell you to be a business manager because everything that you have said, has just been one amazing idea after the other."

Emersyn laughed, shaking her head. “Please, don’t tempt me. I’ll end up showing up at your restaurant with a clipboard and start reorganizing your whole life.” She smiled warmly at her. “But seriously, I just love seeing you excited about this again. You care so much about that place, and people can feel that. Sometimes all you need is someone to help you see the ideas that were already there.”
