So, what’s your heart’s desire? What kind of deal can we strike?
✦ prints ✦ The character for this portrait (Clavicus Vile) was chosen by my Patrons
Daedric Princes - Sanguine
Look, I know it’s trendy to hate Meridia in Skyrim, everyone thinks her voice is annoying, the quest is a drag, the beacon is a meme, blah blah blah.
NOT ME THO. I fuckin love The Break of Dawn. I for one enjoy being the chosen one of light. Not to mention that the corpses in her temple are fucking LOADED it’s literally free money. I think she’s so empowering too. When I’m climbing the steps to her temple and she cries out “this is MY temple and it answers to ME!” I’m like YES MOTHER!!! GET HIS ASS!! I WILL BE THE INSTRUMENT OF YOUR CLEANSING LIGHT!!!
Also, Dawnbreaker is the most beautiful sword in the game. Fight me.

do yall know of any groups/subreddits/discord servers/literally anywhere some of us TES pagans congregate together? I was part of a facebook group but it's very dead unfortunately.
Nope. I ran the Daedra Worship forums for a while, but it was super dead and I haven't checked it in ages. I was also in like 4 or 5 discord servers, but about a year and a half ago, I culled a whole bunch of servers (mostly the ones that weren't 18+, but also ones that I hadn't been active on in a while, which included all the paganism servers I was on in general)
Even when I was involved in the servers tho, they were pretty dead. It's unfortunately very common, since there are so few of us that keeping a server going is difficult.
Followers, anyone have links/invites to share for TES paganism social spaces?

hello 💚 was wondering if you had any sources or advice for honoring Peryite. Thank you in advance!
Peryite's a difficult one, IMO. Pestilence isn't exactly something you wanna mess around with, y'know? (Especially the last 3 years, with covid lurking around every corner)
That said, the two things that really come to mind would be medical volunteer work (like organizations that take care of people who are sick, bringing food, cleaning houses, the sort of thing that doesn't require actual schooling like being a care aid does) or getting pet rats.
Of course, if neither of those things work for you, simply making a shrine is acceptable, too!
I don't really have any sources beyond what I have on my blog, unfortunately. I do have a rather in-depth post here tho. And if anyone who sees this post has more sources or advice, feel free to comment/reblog!
Azura, Blessed Star
Azura, Blessed Star
The sweetest rose with the sharpest thorns
Goddess-Prince of beauty and love, dawn and dusk
The whole coin, walking as one
Precious goddess, beloved by many
Crowned with flowers and silver, eight points held aloft
Silken robes, moon-lit face
Azura, Queen of the Night Sky, I love and honor you
Do you have any advice for someone interested in Namira? Obviously she’s largely depicted as someone not to be messed with, but considering her patronage of homeless people I’ve been pretty intrigued.
Sorry for taking so long! I've been shit at keeping up with the inbox (I have messages in here from years ago, rip)
Personally, I'm hesitant about Namira, so I don't know how much help I can be. I feel like you'd need to be in a situation where you're okay with life not improving. Because, of course, what room for improvement is there under Someone whose sphere is revulsion, decay, and darkness, whose gifts are disease, pity, and disregard?
Now, keep in mind that it's been a while since I've been involved in the TES paganism community as a whole (I culled a ton of discord communities I was in about a year and a half ago, so I haven't been keeping up with things on those) and I haven't gone through my Namira tag to check and see what all the posts there suggest. So this is just off the top of my head.
Being as Namira explicitly does not like attractive people, uh, do your best to be ugly? Or, I feel like presenting yourself in a way that runs counter to what society says is acceptable/desirable would be good enough. (Like, society says women must shave, but Namira would be like "yetis unite" y'know?)
Anyway, advice for someone interested in Namira. Basically yeah, be comfortable with things not getting better (and potentially getting worse) for you from a societal point of view. Obviously be comfortable with "gross" things -- and if there are any gross things you're not comfortable with, you might wanna get on that, cuz pretty sure Namira would be demanding it.
Also, as I said in the last ask I answered, do your homework. Learn all the lore about Namira, what She likes and dislikes, and just keep that in mind. Set boundaries (although it's possible She may decline to work with you, depending on what your boundaries are and what She wants), communicate with Her (godphone, divination, readings from others), and remember that you can always disengage if it turns out to be more or different than you expected. If you're not getting what you wanted, it's okay to change your mind.
And if you do get what you want from Namira? I'm glad for you!
Hey I’ve heard from someone that the daedra don’t really care about humanity and can be dangerous to work with? What’s it like in your case I really like hermaeus Mora but uh I’d be scared to approach because of this caution
Well, I don't have any experience with Hermaeus Mora personally. But I have worked with a few of the Princes (specifically Azura and Clavicus Vile, as well as honoring Sanguine, and I did an "open invitation" thing once that Someone took me up on... I don't know for sure, but I suspect it was Clavicus Vile then, too).
All my experiences have been fairly good. I made a deal with CV, and although He hasn't held up His end (nor do I expect Him to, being as it breaks the laws of physics), He's stopped poking at me about making deals, so that's a plus, cuz TBH He was getting kind of annoying about it.
Azura has been incredibly loving and supportive with me, and having Her in my life and my spiritual practice has been wonderful. (Although I've had to be careful about who I talk to about it, cuz one person offended Her and I kinda had to be like "plz don't curse my neighbor, she doesn't know any better.")
Actually my worst experience wasn't with one of the Princes, it was with Dibella. I'd made a deal with Her on behalf of a friend, promising to give Her an offering when I got home (I was visiting family at the time), and She held up Her end of the deal, but I ended up extending my trip by a month and for a couple weeks after that, until I realized what was going on, I started seeing stuff moving around outside the door (dark shadows, white mists) and it was super freaky. Once I realized it was Dibella being upset that I'd "broken" our agreement, I sat down and was like "I am still going to give You an offering, it's just going to be later than expected, please be patient" and I stopped seeing weird shit and it was all good. I gave Her the offering when I got home and haven't had a problem since. (I suspect that something similar -- or worse -- would've happened if it had been one of the Princes in that situation.)
I think when it comes to any of the Princes, you need to really understand who They are, as best you can. Dive into the lore, pay attention to what They approve and disapprove of, and don't do the shit They don't like. (Like, for example, while I like Meridia, I would never work with Her, or even set up a shrine to Her, because my apartment is haunted and I rather like the ghost. Meridia would make me get rid of him, and I don't want to do that, so I don't work with Her.)
Do keep in mind that yes, They can actually fuck you up. The open invitation I mentioned above? That resulted in the people it was directed toward going from being millionaires to being bankrupt. (Which is why I think it was Clavicus, that seems like something He'd do, esp since the people in question were very concerned with having money.)
But even so, just keep in mind that the Princes are actual beings, with likes and dislikes and moods. Treat Them the way you'd treat any other being more powerful/differently powerful than you, again keeping in mind Their individual preferences, and you should be okay. Respect goes a very long way, but respect also looks different to different Princes.
It would also be a good idea to work on communicating with Them before you actually start working with Them. If you have a godphone (ability to feel/hear deities), if you do divination, even having someone else do divination for you, all of that can be useful in figuring out how to approach your Prince of choice, and how to do it in the safest manner for yourself.
In the games, people don't really get to have boundaries from the deities, but this isn't Mundus, you are more powerful than you would be if you lived there. Boundaries are healthy, even with the Princes (although some will be better with them than others), and if you're uncomfortable, or your Prince pushes too far, you can disengage. It might take some time, some cleansing, and some wards, but it can be done.
So by all means, be cautious. You want to protect yourself. But don't be afraid. Nothing is set in stone unless and until you make a pact or deal that sets it in stone. (And if you do, you'd best be absolutely sure that's what you want to do, do not jump into something like that until, I'd say, you've been working with the Prince for years.)
And just to reiterate the point, the biggest, more important thing you can do, is understand the Princes as best you can. Game lore is your absolute best friend, that will give you the best idea of what each Prince wants, and what the risks are.
I was watching Hoarders yesterday and it hit me that it's a very Namira type of show. Similarly, Intervention could be very Sanguine (drugs/alcohol/sex episodes) or Clavicus Vile (gambling episodes).
So my question to all of you is: what TV shows (reality or fiction) have vibes of the Princes?
List so far:
Azura:
Boethiah:
Clavicus Vile: Intervention (gambling episodes), Breaking the Magician's Code, gambling shows, magic/sleight of hand shows
Hermaeus Mora: How It's Made, Mythbusters, literally any kind of documentary (but esp science/history)
Hircine: River Monsters, Lone Star Law/North Woods Law/Northwest Law/Louisiana Law, Life Below Zero, any sort of hunting/fishing/subsistence living show
Jyggalag: cop/lawyer shows
Malacath:
Mehrunes Dagon: shows about natural disasters
Mephala:
Meridia: paranormal shows where the goal is to get rid of the spirits (eg. The Dead Files)
Molag Bal:
Namira: Hoarders, Dr Pimple Popper
Nocturnal:
Peryite: shows about the natural order of things (Lone Star Law/North Woods Law/Northwest Law/Louisiana Law, documentaries about evolution, list shows, eg. the Top 72 Animals series), medical shows (esp ones with weird illnesses), Dr Pimple Popper
Sanguine: Intervention (drugs/alcohol/sex episodes), My Strange Addiction
Sheogorath: shows about mental illnesses/how the brain works
Vaermina:
(Edit: I just remembered that Peryite's sphere is the ordering of Oblivion, not the natural order of things, but also I'm still really vibing those types of shows for him, so take that part with a grain of salt, IDK)

Daedra Worship Notes: Nocturnal.
The daedric prince of night and darkness, known also has the Night Mistress or Lady Luck. The Khajiit know her as Noctra. She is also referred to as Ur-Dra, part of the original void. It is said that she is the oldest and one of the most powerful Daedric Princess.
Nocturnal brings shadows and luck when called upon. Her physical description is always that of a women dressed in a dark cloak, sometimes black other times a dark purple. Her arms usually outstretched with multiple nightingales (or similar birds) flying around her.
While worshippers of Nocturnal are those who operate in the shadows, such as thieves or spies, Nocturnal is not an evil Daedra. As Karliah describes her, "she is like a scolding mother who pushes her child to do better," which suggests that unlike other Daedra, Nocturnal cares for mortals.
Worship of Nocturnal
Nocturnal does have quite a large following, however she has no one form of an organized sect of followers. While there is a temple and shrines of her in Nightingale Hall and in the Twilight Sepulcher- which is built around the Ebonmere portal which leads to Nocturnal's corner of Oblivion called, Evergloam, the Night Mistress does not seem to care much for Worship.
Few sects that Worship Lady Luck are as follows, Nightingales, a coven of all female witches, and even a cult.
The Nightingales
The Nightingales serve Nocturnal directly, in return they can receive the powers of Shadow, Subterfuge, or Shadow. Once a Nightingale enters the contract with Nocturnal they are bound to her to guard the Twilight Sepulcher and serve her until she feels that the contract had been fulfilled.
Witches
Like other Daedric Princes, Nocturnal has a following of all female followers known in game as witches. The Purloined Shadows is a coven dedicated to serving Nocturnal.
Cultists
The Daedric Prince has at least one cult dedicated to serving her, this cult is known as the Whispering Shadows. They operated throughout the Clockwork City in the second era. In Summerset she has only one known human follower- Earl Tundilwen.
Pop Culture Followers
Many folk who have played the Elder Scrolls game have taken to following the Prince in real life. Worshipping a pop culture figure is really no different than worshipping another figure in real life. How you choose to worship is up to you.
