✨️💎Soul Gems 💎✨️
What are Soul Gems?
Soul Gems are magical receptacles used to capture and hold the souls of living creatures. They are essential for two main magical disciplines:
Enchanting: Using a filled Soul Gem is necessary to create a new enchantment on a piece of gear (weapon or armor). The soul's power determines the strength of the resulting enchantment.
Recharging: Filled Soul Gems are used to restore the charge on enchanted weapons and staves, allowing you to continue using their magical effects.
How to Use Them ✨️
Get a Soul Trap Effect: You must cast the Soul Trap spell on a creature, or hit it with a weapon enchanted with the Soul Trap effect, before you kill it.
Match the Gem: When the creature dies, its soul is captured by the smallest available Soul Gem in your inventory that is large enough to hold it. If you only have a Grand Soul Gem, and you kill a small creature like a Mudcrab (Petty Soul), you will unfortunately fill your valuable Grand Gem with a weak Petty Soul!
Enchant or Recharge: Once the gem is filled, you can use it at an Arcane Enchanter to create a new enchanted item, or select an enchanted weapon in your inventory and choose to "Recharge" it.
The soul trap enchantment can be found in the Conjuration School at the College of Winterhold in Skyrim.
"Conjuration school of magic is used to summon creatures, weapons, and armor from other planes, as well as to raise the dead and trap souls. It is a powerful but potentially dangerous school of magic with unique spells like summoning Atronachs or Daedric Princes, reanimating corpses, and creating bound weapons that appear in your hands."
A rest day isn't enough. I need one billion years alone in a crystal.
“eldritch horror beyond your comprehension” and it’s just a generic monster with tentacles and eyes
girl I’m comprehending you pretty easily you’re gonna have to try harder than that
in my dnd setting the most eldritch of creatures is an ape that is impossibly wide. Whatever room you're in, this ape is wider than that. Imagine the widest room you can imagine. This ape is wider. It's other proportions remain the same. His name is Wide Ape.
everyone go home we got a winner
Herma is flattered that you can comprehend him
This has probably been done already, but like 👀

So harping on closed cultures and religions isnt your cup of tea, but worshipping video game gods is what gets you off? freak.
Ah, you must be one of the weirdos from yesterday. I don't know how you got through the blockings. But okay bub.
Daedra Worship Notes: Offerings to Vaermina.
One of 17 daedric princes, Vaermina's sphere of influence, includes nightmares, psychological terror, torment, dreams, bringing evil omens, and stealing memories.
While she is almost exclusively seen as an evil or demonic prince, some daedric worshippers will pray to her before they sleep in hopes of warding off any potential meetings.
However, I believe that a simple prayer isn't going to suffice, and honestly, that might just draw her to you more so. Instead, I propose to offer something up to her so that my rest may be peaceful.
I will give her some of my memories. Happy and sad ones, I'll write them all down and place them at her altar. I will either destroy the physical reminders of the memories or just keep adding to them with other things that I no longer want to remember.
The hope there is that Vaermina will be content with the offering and not give me nightmares or even ease some of the hardships in my life.
We'll see how it goes.

I want to use Dovahzul to make Sigils! Does anyone want to help me test it?

Notes
As of Skyrim and Oblivion, the number of days in each month is the same as the Gregorian calendar, leap years included.
The Serpent sign possibly corresponds to that of the unused 13th sign of ‘Ophiuchus’ in astrology/the Zodiac.
The months ‘Midyear’, ‘Heartfire/Hearthfire’ and ‘Frostfall’ can be spelled with or without a space, both spellings are correct.
The calendars used in Arena and Daggerfall are entirely different. Morrowind’s is pretty much the same, besides Sun’s Dusk and Frostfall having swapped number of days, and the negligence of Morning Star (this was possibly a mistake made during the game’s production).
How do I reach out to a pop culture deity? I am really interested in Herma Mora, but I don't know the first place to start, any advice?
To start, I would look at the game lore. What does it describe Herma Mora as, who is he, what is his domain, what offerings does he accept?
Then set an offering for him with your intention (whether you're wanting to work with, worship or simply as for help from him). If you feel his presence or get a confirmation then you can begin to set up his alter.
I hope this helped!

Are Azura and Nocturnal like Apollo and Artemis?
Azura is the Daedric Prince of Dusk and Dawn she hates all Manner of undead and sends the dragon born to cleanse her Temple.
Nocturnal is the Daedric Prince of night and darkness. She is the patron (matron?) of thieves and those who work in the shadow.
It is said that Nocturnal was there at the beginning, while the two are both Daedric Princes they are not related.
Artemis is the goddess of the wild hunt, chastity and child birth.
Apollo is the God of music, poetry, prophecy, truth, plague and healing, sun and light. (He is not the Sun God as that title belongs to Helios.)
Artemis and Apollo are twin siblings of Zues and Leto.
I would say that while the two Daedra may be based on the two Greek deities they are not all that similar. (Bad wording)
Hey there,
I've been interested in pop culture deities but never found someone who actually practiced. I'd love to ask a few questions!
Cheers
Hey there! My friend @jasper-the-menace is also a pop culture witch and is much more qualified than I. But feel free to ask anything :)
