We will not worry When the wild winds Wax and wane. We will not worry When the whirlpools Widen and wither. We will warm To weighted wagers And worldly wisdom. With warning words We will weather And withstand. And we will not wonder why.

Oh fire-breathing heart,  what hurt you so today,  stricken with your napalm blood  and deep volcano veins?    Oh fire-breathing heart,  just burn it all away,  and what it was that torched your love  like an ember, will decay.

Overcast, muted,  the clouds become  our ocean,  submerging all  but the spit of land  below.    We hold our breaths  as the waves gather,  poised.    If the dam breaks,  what tsunami  awaits these peaks?

It must be torture,  to be a fly on the wall.  To witness so much  with those compound eyes.  To avoid the jaws  of Venus and sundew, yet be trapped nonetheless,  playing voyeur to  the blood on the streets.    Better to see the wall for what it is:  Flypaper.  Better to flap your wings and change everything.  Better to die  than to see all,  yet do nothing.
