You're a bad person. eroticneko worked hard on her blogs and always gave the artists credit. Well done for getting someone banned who did nothing but support the artists she shared and entertain her followers.

Dear anon:

- We have not the power to ban an user. Only the artists can report a blog for copyright issue.

- “who did nothing but support the artist”, they were reposting from many artists who didn’t allow it. The only thing we did was to let the artists know about their blog if they needed to contact the staff.

- This blog have been on hiatus since months, so we didn’t do anything anyway.

- Recently, tumblr have been deleted a lot of porn blogs because of a glitch, so we’re pretty sure that it’s the reason their blog have been deleted.

And even though it isn’t the glitch, it means it’s the artists themselves who reported the blog.

If you consider I’m/we’re bad person because we let the artists know about the unauthorized use of their works, well so be it.

Posting fanarts with credits doesn’t mean anything if the creators weren’t ok with the reposts in the first place!!! Asking permission is a necessity!

hello! first of all, thank you for following me and giving attention to my posts, I don’t know how to reply to compliments, but please know that I’m very grateful. I know a lot of you guys didn’t do anything wrong, but it’s only fair for you guys that I say this: I won’t be publishing shippy bnha content here. what I’ll draw, I’ll keep to myself and a group of friends. Maybe I’ll keep posting gen bnha pictures here, but I’m unsure. the reason is reposting, of course, as well as unpleasant messages (I closed my askbox to anons not so long ago) the fandom is extremely large and even though I’d like to believe it’s just a few bad apples souring the experience for everyone, their number is too significant for me and I’m tired to go after reposters and seeing my art reposted, cropped, edited, translated outside of tumblr. I talked a little bit about it here!

Because of tumblr’s system, even if I delete the pictures they’ll remain on tumblr because of reblogs, so I won’t bother removing them from my blog, but there won’t be anything new, sorry.

of course, I’ll totally understand if you unfollow, no problem :) I still had a ton of fun drawing tododeku and bnha in general, and I still love this series so much. I just feel big fandoms aren’t for me, I don’t like attention, and I don’t like reposts. thank you a lot again!

There is this user of Tumblr named “Lili”who uploaded three drawings about mermaid on his own accounts：

He is plagiarizing my work! In this series of work he copied part of my work and modified them to be his own drawing, and according to his statements, these three pictures which plagiarized my drawings have been put for commercial use.

While this kind of behavior wouldn’t take much time to do and can get paid easily, this kind of dirty trick has greatly harmed my benefits. Worse still, this kind of misbehavior has always been and is now corroding my ardor for creation. And with no doubt, putting this kind of “work” into commercial usage would be a secondary damage to my feelings! And I am here to defend my own benefits!!!

There is a reason why I made accounts for every social media platform, one of the reason is when I posted my drawing / fanarts, you don’t have wasting ur time to repost in your account so that you can directly retweet/reblog it from my account. I don’t know if my watermark isn’t visible enough, or the “DO NOT REPOST” thing isn’t that visible enough too?

or maybe I am that invisible?? if you really want to repost or republish my work, please ask for my permission first. I will always say yes if you ask me nicely and politely. I’m not gonna lie, it’s heartbreaking and sad though like I spent hours to think about the ideas and what I want to draw. But the result is always the same. people seem to appreciate those who reposted someone else’s work more than the creator itself.

So, one of my artworks has been stolen, they have redrawn and claimed my art as their own without permission or a link to the original artwork.

Ive asked them to credit me or take it down but they refuse, they’ve done this with other artists too. im just. really frustrated

This user is reposting from many artists pages with or without credits and especially without their consent! They post from different fandoms like Yuri on ice, Miraculous Ladybug, My hero academia… You can see some examples above of unauthorized reposts.

They are also reposting edits!

We have tried to contact them and explaining them that they should ask for permission, but they blocked us. Then, someone else tried to contact them once again, they replied this time but still ignored what has been said since they continue to repost without permission!

So seeing the number of reblogs, now we rather warn the fandoms concerned, and of course we’ll also contact the artists, so we count on each fandoms to not reblog more from them!

Please signal-boost this PSA and block the user to not reblog any unauthorized reposts in the future!

In any case you use the work of an artist, it’s always better to ask them directly if they would allow it. If it’s for a personal use though, I don’t think you’ll need to ask, but if it’s to post it somewhere on the internet, yes, you need to ask.

So this is why reposting art without credit is a shitty thing to do.

This Jonny Gordo fellow posted my Stranger Things fan art to his blog and it was picked up by the Tumblr Radar - last time I checked the post had over 75,000 notes. I’ve reported it, it’ll get removed, that’s cool. But since it’s been up it’s been shared and reposted by several Instagram accounts, a few of which have *millions* of followers. I’m a freelance illustrator, it’s how I make a living, and social media is a big part of how I find clients and work. Having my art pop up in the feeds of 4-5 million people could have been extremely beneficial to my career (some companies and creators I admire follow these accounts), if the artwork was actually credited to me, and not to Jonny Gordo, the reposter.

I’m fortunate enough to be at a place where this isn’t devastating to me, it’s just a bummer (knock on wood). But to a younger and/or struggling artist, this kind of thing has the potential to make or break them. It could be a huge missed opportunity and may result in them not getting the work they need to continue with their career. When I checked out this guy’s tumblr, I saw a bunch of reposted art without credit, so who knows how often this kind of thing is happening.

Reblog, don’t repost. If you do need to repost, make sure you credit the artist, google image search takes two seconds. Don’t take credit for other people’s work.

Hey, everyone, I’m sorry if there will be any mistakes in this post - English is not my native language, but anyways, Today I’d like to inform all of you about this Gruvia-fan community(https://vk.com/gruvia) on Russian website called VK. I endured their awful actions and words for a long period of time but their last conflict made me so mad, so I can’t stand it anymore. These people won’t respect you and any kind of your art if there are characters that they don’t like in it(it’s mostly about Lucy Heartfilia and her and Natsu’s child - Nancy). They crop and cut off these characters from people’s art, so there is only Gruvia or their child left.

And now, about the last conflict that made me write this post; this shameful and disrespectful event happened to this artist: @chengggg . They’ve drawn 2 very cute arts with NaLu and Gruvia children but the administrator from this Russian Gruvia community cut off Nancy, the NaLu kid, as if it was like this, without her, from the beginning. As if @chengggg drew it like this. I don’t know how this artist has found out about this, but I grateful people that told him, and they made an account in VK, came to this community and asked people there to not to cut their artwork, they even said that these people can repost their art but not cut it. But you know what did the administrator do in response? She deleted their comments and the cropped arts remained in the post as before!

This is unacceptable and such actions are completely disrespectful towards the artists(because this is not the first time, guys), whose drawings were cropped. I’d like to ask everyone to disseminate this information and reblog this so other people in Fairy Tail fandom, especially artists, would know that this community exists and causes lots of problems to Russian FT - fandom(we’re not all like this, and I hope you won’t judge all Russian fans only because of this group of people; furthermore - most of us don’t support this at all and we try to talk to them ourselves but for some reason we think this won’t lead us to anything, except for if more people will know about this problem).

I’m so sorry for artist and everyone, who have already become their victims.

I know this is none of my business, but my patience is shattered into little pieces, because of what this people did to Russian fandom.

Jeanette Hayes Masterpost

Recently New York based >”””””””artist ””””””” Jeanette Hayes was exposed on Twitter for stealing works from several mangaka and illustrators all over the world, most of the Japanese in the name of Appropriationism, Net Art, Pop Art, and maybe some other art movement overrun with creatively bankrupt artist to go die. All of these works are being exhibited in galleries, sold in artbooks and part of other commercial deals.

The issue with Jeanette Hayes is that she is not using simply icons well embedded in pop culture or public domain, noboby is gonna think you invented Tommy & Jerry or the Toei Sailor Moon anime unless you have been living under a rock the last century, she’s using work for lesser known, niche authors and media who never come up mentioned because it’s very obvious she was expecting to not be found (and has very little to no respect for them). Not only has she poorly traced artwork for exhibitions, but also reposted work as hers in her Instagram account.

BleedingCool also wrote an article on the issue, which I reccommend to check out as well. I’m making this one in an attempt to archive all the stolen works.

What can you do to help? First of all, many institutions don’t listen to complains and copyright violation reports unless the one complaining is the author themselves, so Japanese and Russian (and maybe more) translators would be of so much help in this case. You can find links to their pages below. Also help contact each of the artist, as many are still clueless because they are just so many so to handle. Publish or send me more identified stolen art to add to this list. And spread this post and BleedingCool article if possible.

Consider emailing Vice, Castor Gallery, Artspace Magazine, Untitled-Space, Interview Magazine, New York Times, Vogue, Blouinartinfo, etc. who have ran articles and deals on Jeanette Hayes and to explain and show evidence.

Castor Gallery has so far refused to halt the sales with the excuse “Appropriationism is an old art form”.

According to @b-a-b-y-a-r-t, who contacted the gallery, one of Maruo rip offs costs for 9500 USD.

So far all she does is complain, deny, block, make fun of authors and lock her account on and off like 10 times already but here are her sites and galleries:
