sometimes I go back and read Gabes initual character as I made him (20s) and look at how much he evolved (I've recently been playing him in his 30s) and see the character development & it's astonishing.

He's still ambitious but less of a jerk, less impetuous and less given to lectures. A lot calmer and finally has emotions (aka unlocked all childhood trauma and, has to a point, packaged it) but still hard to conceive some things in his life were lies (ie seeing Uriel as a person and not a 2D cartoon villain) and how easily those could've been and he'd be a completly different person.

At least now he actually maintains relationships... but is very protective of those people, dabbling in nepotism if need be.

Still not a fan of what ifs and regrets so he mostly came to terms with it. Plus the huge confrontation with his father he dreamt of while he was in his 20s didn't exactly go as he expected.

Uriel Fabela made his son so much in his image they play 3D chess in the Abbey with each other, is funny.

Rick grinned wide against Gabriel’s flesh as he felt the other man’s pulse quicken.

“If I didn’t know better.” He placed a kiss. “I’d almost think,” He places another one lower, “Ya’ve been missin’ me.” One last kiss. This time letting his teeth gently graze along the Overseer’s skin.

One arm thrown against the back of the couch, Gabriel bared his neck to Rick like a secret. He’d undone the buttons of the first two layers and folded down the turtle neck to explose the stretch of unmarred skin.

“You would, wouldn’t you?” Yet again his mouth went soft around an ‘o’.

Unsteady like a drunk, he pulled back just enough to fix Rick with heay lidded eyes and dishevelled hair. What could’ve possibly betrayed it?

“Whatever makes you happier...”

Pressing his digits to the base of Rick’s neck, Gabe coached him to latch onto another spot.

It almost looked effortless, it certainly was part of the scene: Rick pressed against him, the shape of his mouth branded on Gabriel’s skin. It gave him a bit of a thrill.

Rick wouldn’t kill him, but he didn’t make a habit of presenting his neck to anyone talented with weapons. Or anybody for that matter.
