While Jake awaits the other’s return, he spends his time trying to not topple over and eat shit on his own hardwood floors. This is surprisingly hard to do, even with a nice, sturdy wall directly beside him, ripe for leaning on. Which he does, and it just so happens to be the only thing keeping him from making a very good acquaintanceship with said floor.
When Davian returns, he clings to the guy, leaning in nice and close. The wall was helpful for a time, but a troll is way better to keep his balance against. One hand points a finger up some stairs, then makes a gesture along his left side. “Up th’stairs ‘n’ then down th’hallway. I think.” He really shouldn’t be as unsure as he is. Directions weren’t even asked for yet here he is, giving them anyway.
The trip shouldn’t be too challenging. At least, for the guy not hauling a drunk man around, it isn’t. Once in the bedroom, he takes a seat on the bed, reaching out to take the glass of water. He spectacularly misses it not once, but twice. Third time’s the charm. He promptly raises it to his lips to drink. Jesus, he was thirsty. How did he not know he was that thirsty?
After a few sips, he places it down on the bedside table, both hands coming to his stomach. Is he feeling nauseous? A bit. “Are y’gonna dump me in th’bed then hightail it outta ‘ere?” Does he want the guy to stay? Is there even a point to the guy staying after he’s in the bed? This was his own doing, after all. Seems fitting he’d have to deal with it all on his own.
Davian isn't especially large. Maybe Jake's height if he is lucky, and his build appears lighter, but being a troll, he is inherently stronger than the average human and more densely packed, so being leaned on while towing the guy upstairs is hardly a hindrance. It is a bit weird to have this kind of random physical contact with a near stranger who isn't straight up trying to murder him. But a good kind of weird.
His estimation of the guy fails to go up when he misses the drink twice before finally succeeding. It also fails to go down much, because at least he manages to get it inside himself without making a huge mess. Thank heavens for small favours.
Davian offers a light shrug. "I wasn't planning on hanging out. But I s'pose I could stick around and watch you like some sort of creepy Cullen knockoff. If that's what you really want. But if you think you're getting any sort of cuddling out of me, you've got another think coming. That's an unlockable level, and you ain't anywhere near to unlocking it yet, bro." He has no idea whether that would even be something Jake would want, but it has happened in his past experiences, so he figures better safe than sorry.
