Stop & Go
The khajiit hoisted herself onto the back of the wagon as well, splaying out on the floor as she attempted to rest her back on the cabin wall.
âFor some of the trip, joâkhajiit did promise to help with the guard duties to ease the negotiations but that doesnât mean she canât spend some of the ride in peace. Truthfully it will be more fortunate if they have no need of JoâKrinâs services. This one would prefer an uneventful ride.â, she explained as she began absent-mindedly fiddling with one of the sacks of produce onboard. With a satisfied smirk she stashed a fistful of jerky in one of her many pockets before fishing out a treat for her compatriot, deftly she rolled two apples over to MaâJaara and MâAzha. âDonât worry friend, itâs all on this one. The two of us will be making much more gold soon. And donât fret about what she hands these ones, they are good khajiit, a little rough but better they wear it honestly. No?â
MaâJaara snapped downwards to catch the rolling fruit, but Mâahza got squished in the process and began to whine. After setting the apples aside for later, Aara moved her daughter out onto the seat of the wagon in one fluid motion. The young Khajiit fluttered her eyes, growling a bit in discomfort. Mâahzaâs small white paws snatched up an apple from across MaâJaaraâs lap, and the child grumbles a bit before chowing down.
A lopsided smile and a nod was all MaâJaara could offer to Krin at this point. Soon she too nibbled at an apple, glancing down every once in a while to watch Mâahza scarf the fruit.
Krinâs attention briefly flitted to Mâazha, the cathay-raht offered the youngster a shy smile as she too began to fidget, stretching her long limbs as she attempted to find a more comfortable position to rest. It seemed however that her restlessness would not be abated so easily as she was shaken from her rooting by the sudden jolt the carriage made. At last they were finally moving. âAt last, we are on the move. So, have you travelled much since having the little one? Khajiit wonders what it must be like, to have to take it with you everywhere. This one assumes anyway that DarâShan doesnât do much to share the burdens of parenthood.â, she prodded as curiosity got the best of her. It was interesting how all the little twists and turns in life could lead them in such different directions, yet here they both were together again.
