The “disappears for a while without warning” Squad

I have not written poetry in a while. I also have not slept in a while, so I guess the two go hand in hand. When I was younger, I was able to churn poetry in a way that was far more swift, and noble, and fluid. The world had not yet congested, and misdirected the flow of my internal nature. I was still colourful. I was still somewhat innocent. My love was wrapped up in my family, Things I saw on tv, That was the kind of love, And life, That thrilled me, Skilled me. A few years later, I learned love, I touched love, and love burned me. I think my father, he was no longer enough, Something within me began to crave a man’s touch.. So, I set out, on a path, Not intending disaster, Maybe a night of red cups, whispers, and laughter.. But, ah… In life, in youth, in misguided truth, There is no happy ever after. And thus, my rhymes, my rhythms, became lost to the lure of adulthood. And now, I find myself going mad, Stark raving mad, And it has brought me back my art.
