So Tumblr has gone completely off the rails this time. It’s kind of obvious that this was happening, seeing as they’ve for a long time tried to marginalize adult creators here by sneakily turning Safe Mode on for users during updates and adding extra steps and hoops for adult content. This time at least they’re being honest.

They don’t want us here anymore.

We, who most likely brought a large part of the users of the site here in the first place, have become something they no longer want, because they don’t want their nice little community tarnished by our presence.

I don’t know if this means Tumblr will completely go under or anything. I’m sure there are enough people here who mainly make family friendly content that the site will limp on and survive. I’m sure the next couple of months will be rough for the people who decide to stick around, though, and I’m not talking about smut creators, because we will be purged. No, I’m talking about all the ridiculous false positives on those anti-smut bots.

I might try to save everything I’ve got here and make a separate Twitter for reposting my Tumblr material, but I can’t make any guarantees about that.

As you guys have probably seen today, this was the last straw. Tumblr is moving to deny all NSFW content from their platform forever. What does this mean for me? It’s pretty simple, honestly.

After December 17th, I’m done posting here.

Staff have shown that they have zero regards for anything but desperately trying to clean up this website so they can resell it in the next financial quarter and cut their losses. The first and second waves of account purges cleaned out plenty of my best friends and mutuals, nuked thousands of SFW accounts, most of which never got their blogs back. This continued on and on with certain artists getting special privileges, actual porn bots not being removed, and the constant rings of drug users and sellers, child porn, abuse, gore, animal abuse, harassers, doxxers and generally shit people sticking around.

The people running this website have no fucking clue what they’re doing, and are opting for the nuclear option of attempting to block it all out.

It won’t work.

Every terrible blog that’s ever sent death threats, everyone that’s doxxed someone, bots, and everything else are all still up and will all continue to be up, while tumblr nukes the rest of us. There was barely a point to staying here following the previous waves, but now I’m actually done.

Fuck staff, fuck verizion and fuck any dumbass mouth breather who wants to defend this shitheap of a site. They’ve done nothing but ignore concerns and reports for years and they’re too incompetent to even fix it. I strongly suggest everyone SFW and NSFW to leave, as we’ve already seen their algorithm is broken beyond belief and will lead to even more SFW accounts being banned.

Patreon I will be overhauling in the next week to be a repository for all of my older art, as I will not be reposting everything I’ve made to newgrounds or twitter. You’ll have to pledge $1 to get that access, as everything is 18+ as per their guidelines.
