The Colonist

Well, the King did not respond to the petition. Guys on horses are going around yelling about a British attacks going to Lexington and Concord. This war is starting, and I do not think I can be able to post will all this going on. Good luck out there, colonists going to fight. I am no longer a Bostonian, I am an American!

Guess who's back? Patrick Henry and George Washington has returned to the First Continental Congress. At the meeting these guys along with delegates from all over the colonies except for Georgia met and wrote a petition demanding the Intolerable Acts be repealed, allow us to reform Militias, and so on. They also threaten to Boycott all British goods. But they are going to send the petition over to the King and I guess we just need to wait for a response

Quebec Act: "Certain parts of the territory of Canada, where sedentary fisheries had been established and carried in by the subjects of France, inhabitants of the said province of Canada under grants and concessions from the government there of were annexed to the Government of Newfoundland". As a punishment for the Boston Tea Party, we are forcing you to be.... CANADIAN! Yes, some land more to the North has been given to Newfoundland.

A friend of mine George Hewes was one of the guys throwing tea into the harbor while everyone was cheering. While he was one the ship he told me that "an aged man who wore a large cocked hat and white wig had sleightly slipped a little tea into his pocket, but being detected, they (SOL) seized him and, taking his hat and wig from his head, and threw them, together with the tea, of which had emptied his pockets, into the water." I cannot believe that a British Soldier literally tried to steal tea that was about to be stole and thrown into the Harbor. It was a heck a lot of fun! 

There was a great turn out at the Committees of Correspondence in Boston today!

Who is in charge of the Sons of Liberty? The Committees of Correspondence. Recently Boston just re established their committee and are communicating with other committees through the colonies. They just communicated how the Mass. Governor and judges have been paid by the crown to stay on the Brit's side.

Last night, something happened. How do i say this? There was a riot. A bunch of colonists in Boston threw some snowballs and rocks at a regiment of redcoat soldiers. The soldiers fired and five colonists are now dead. I do not know what to say. People died last night. I was not there, but Paul Revere drew a sketch of what happened and I will post it for everyone to see what the British did. I know the colonists attacked first, but the redcoats still should not have handled it in that way. The picture displays, the soldiers shooting at the colonists and you see the evil faces on the soldiers as they kill the people. We have to do something. When will this abuse stop?

Not only are we to be taxed, but the money is going right into the pockets of the governors and judges to secure their loyalty to the crown. Bribery? Really Great Britain? 

The Sons of Liberty tarring and feathering the tax collector. Just an ordinary day in Boston. 

Great Britain claims they have "sole and exclusive right of imposing duties and taxes upon his majesty's subjects in the said colonies and plantations". Great Britain has no power to tax us! Colonists tax Colonists! Thank you Britain for this. You just gave us more of a reason to hate you. Plus, encouraging more to rebel against you!
