The goal of this post is to showcase the different adaptations of Genesis and help the Adamsapple fandom find more inspiration. (This post is mainly for Adamsapple fans)
I spent a long time searching for more Adam and Lucifer content outside of the Hazbin fandom, especially apocryphal texts. And I managed to find one where they not only interact more, but Lucifer even tries to seduce Adam.
Please note that all texts are apocryphal, meaning they are NOT CANON.
They are not canonical; they were written many centuries after the Bible. But it's always fun to read biblical fanfiction from centuries ago.
The myth of Genesis has been reinterpreted many times throughout history. Many believers developed or expanded the story, giving many nuances to the characters of Adam and Eve.
These texts are considered apocryphal, that is, not canonical for the Bible, but I think it's a good idea to share with you the different personalities that Adam received in these texts.
The first drawing
The Hazbin Hotel version adapts the Lilith myth from the Ben Sira Alphabet, which was created between 700 and 1000 AD and is considered a satirical text that compiles two lists of proverbs, 22 in Babylonian Aramaic and 22 in medieval Hebrew. This myth is considered apocryphal because it attempted to resolve a doubt regarding the creation of woman in the Genesis myth. It is a concept developed posthumously to the Bible.
In this version, Adam is very proud and petty, as he considers Lilith inferior, and they argue about it. Lilith, seeing that Adam does not want to see her as his equal, leaves Eden and joins the demons in the sea. After the angels go to find her, she refuses to return and swears revenge against Adam's future sons and daughters, whom she promises to kill.
This version has several variants or versions that derive from it.
In some versions, Lilith returns and takes advantage of Adam's grief over Abel's death to conceive children with him. In another, she is a demon associated with Lilith, but not Lilith herself.
On yet another occasion, Lilith unites with Adam, consensually, and they conceive Asmodeus.
Regarding her marriage, she is married to Samael, an archangel who is different from Lucifer, and in other versions, she is the wife of Asmodeus. There are also other versions where she is directly Lucifer's wife, and they are presented as the antithesis of Adam and Eve.
Adam and Lucifer do not interact here.

The second drawing
This drawing comes from the apocryphal text "The Life of Adam and Eve" in the Latin version, which in turn expands upon the apocryphal text "The Apocalypse of Moses."
These texts expand upon the story of Adam and Eve, narrating their lives after their expulsion from Eden. They recount how both did penance and suffered their punishment.
Here, Adam retains some of his original pride, the pride that led him to sin, but he is not petty. He cares for Eve and truly loves her, although he can be a bit harsh at times. He is God-fearing but also assertive and a quick learner.
In the Latin version, his personality is more polished. So, from this point on, I will discuss it.
Upon being expelled, he asks God to teach them how to survive before they are cast out.
A crash course before leaving home.
Adam receives this brief education from Michael, the archangel who appears most frequently, especially in the Latin American version.
Michael educates and cares for Adam. He was the one who expelled Adam and Eve, but he always watched over them. And when Adam died, it was Michael who, by God's command, took Adam's body and guarded it, accompanied by other angels, who clothed Adam's soul.
In the Latin American version, Adam confronts the devil, who deceived Eve again, convincing her to abandon her penance in a river (both were doing penance in a river). There, the devil shouts at him the reasons why he decided to harm them after Eve confronts him for ruining their lives.
The devil shouts that Adam is to blame for everything because when he was created, all the angels were supposed to pay homage to him, and he refused. The devil argued with his brother Michael, who demanded that he pay homage to Adam, but the devil refused, and the lesser angels who were his subjects went along with it. In the end, the devil declared that his creation was more glorious than Adam's and that, therefore, he should be more respected than God and, logically, he had to be the most high. (He wanted to own the server.)
In the end, God got angry and expelled the devil and his followers from heaven, causing them to fall.
The devil was so angry that he hatched a plan to bring about Adam's downfall, taking advantage of Eve's innocence. And that's when the whole apple incident happened.
Yes, the devil is very resentful towards his boyfriend.
But the next text, wow… he went way too far.

The third drawing
We've reached the final circle of Hell.
If the previous myths made you uncomfortable, brace yourself, because things are about to get interesting.
THE FIRST AND SECOND BOOKS OF ADAM AND EVE, also known as THE CONFLICTS OF ADAM AND EVE WITH SATAN/THE DEVIL.
(Clarification: Both Lucifer and Satan are the same character here. They share the same background and the same celestial importance prior to the Fall.)
Things get VERY TROUBLED here because the human psyche is explored.
What happens when two people become conscious and experience pain for the first time?
This novel explores that.
Adam and Eve are self-aware but don't know exactly what they are about to suffer. And this novel is going to make it clear to them that their sin will be terrible.
It explores how they feel hunger and thirst for the first time, how they are afraid of the dark because they have never experienced anything like it. How they feel cold and regret. They will both remain naked for quite some time.
The first part is among the most painful, for Adam and Eve, in their grief and TERROR of committing another sin and incurring God's wrath, end up malnourished and desperately thirsty. In this debilitated state, they both leave the Cave of Treasures, where God had left them, to return to Eden and beg for forgiveness.
God tells them that he will not allow them to return and that their punishment will last for thousands of years. And after thousands of years, they will receive forgiveness for their transgression. Now they must return and continue suffering because of their mistakes.
Adam, heartbroken, walks to a cliff and throws himself into the sea. Eve, seeing how her husband has chosen suicide, throws herself in with him. Angels end up rescuing them and healing their wounds. Afterward, the angels return them to the Cave of Treasures.
The devil, enraged because God loved Adam more than him, devised several plans to ruin the relationship between Adam and God. The story of the penance in the river is repeated, and for the same reasons. The devil was expelled because he refused to kneel before Adam.
Among the many things the devil does to Adam are: the numerous deceptions he perpetrates on the couple, impersonating angels; then, the devil steals from Adam and Eve the only food God gave them to plant, a fig; on another occasion, Adam and Eve pray to God, and the devil becomes so angry that he summons his group of angels to give Adam and Eve a fatal beating; then he tempts Cain to kill his brother Abel and to harm his parents; And in the final deception, the devil disguises himself as "Eve's sister" and tries to seduce Adam, taking advantage of his depression after Abel's death, to sleep with him and make him abandon God, promising him a family of five children.
In this version, Adam is a very depressed and traumatized person, who fears doing anything new that God doesn't approve of. He fears that God will hate and curse him again, so EVERYTHING he feels curious about or attracted to is reported to God first to see if He will allow him to experience it.
His devotion to God is such that he is capable of doing penances like enduring hunger and thirst for 40 days in a river, just so that God will forgive him. Although God does love Adam and Eve, and those protected by the devil, it's just that God is saddened that Adam ate the forbidden fruit, but He doesn't hate Adam. Adam overexerts himself seeking God's forgiveness and love, even though he already has it.
He is also a loving husband who deeply loves his wife, whom he protects and prays for. When Cain was born, Eve suffered so much because of Adam that she decided to leave him, even while pregnant.
In labor, Eve prays for mercy because she is not in a healthy state, but no one hears her.
Adam, worried, prays for her, and angels descend to help her.
In the end, the couple is happy, side by side like a pair of lovers who have experienced hell on earth.
I personally am still surprised that the Devil even tried to be Adam's wife. There's a fine line between love and hate…
El objetivo de este post es dar a conocer las diferentes adaptaciones que ha tenido el Génesis y ayudar al fandom Adamsapple a encontrar más inspiración. (Este post ha sido escrito especialmente para fans de Adamsapple)
Estuve buscando por mucho tiempo más contenido de Adán y Lucifer fuera del fandom de hazbin. Sobretodo, textos apócrifos. Y consegui encontrar uno donde no solo interactúan más, sino que incluso lucifer intento seducir a Adán.
Se informa que todos los textos son Apócrifos, osea NO CANON.
No son canónicos, fueron escritos muchos siglos después de la biblia. Pero siempre es divertido leer fanfics bíblicos de hace siglos atrás.

El primer dibujo

En esta versión, Adan es muy orgulloso y mezquino, pues considera a Lilith inferior y ambos discuten por eso. Lilith, al ver que Adan no quiere verla como su igual, abandona el eden y se une a los demonios en el mar. Despues de que los angeles van a buscarla, ella se niega a volver y jura venganza contra los futuros hijos e hijas de Adan, a quienes promete asesinar.
Esta version tiene varias variantes o versiones que derivan de ella.
En algunas versiones, Lilith regresa y se aprovecha de la depresion de Adan por la muerte de Abel para engendrar hijos con el. En otra, es una demonio asociada a Lilith pero no es ella.
En otra ocasion, Lilith se une a Adan, de forma consensuada, y engendran a Asmodeo.
Y respecto a su matrimonio, ella esta casada con Samael, un arcangel que es diferente a Lucifer, y en otras ocasiones ... ella es la esposa de Asmodeo. Aunque hay otras versiones, donde ella directamente es esposa de Lucifer y se presentan como una antitesis a Adan y a Eva.
El segundo dibujo
Este dibujo proviene del texto apocrifo "La vida de Adan y Eva" en la version latina, que a su vez, amplia el texto apocrifo "El apocalipsis de Moises"
En estos textos se amplia la historia de Adan y Eva, pues se narra como fue su vida despues de la expulsión del Eden. Como ambos hicieron penitencia y sufrieron su castigo.
Aquí Adan mantiene un poco de su orgullo original, el que lo hizo pecar, pero no es alguien mezquino. El se preocupa por Eva y realmente la quiere, aunque a veces es un poco duro. Es temeroso de Dios pero tambien asertivo y alguien que aprende rapido.
En la versión latina, su personalidad está más pulida. Así que, a partir de este punto, hablaré de ella.
Al verse expulsados, le pide a Dios que antes de que los echen, les enseñen a como sobrevivir.
Un curso rapido antes de salir de casa.
Adan recibe esta mini educacion de parte de Miguel, quien es el arcangel que aparece mas veces. Sobretodo en la version latina.
Miguel educa a Adan y cuida de el. Fue quien expulso a Adan y a Eva pero siempre los vigilaba. Y cuando Adan murio, fue Miguel, quien por orden de Dios, tomo el cuerpo de Adan y lo custodio en compañia de otros angeles, quienes vistieron el alma de Adan.
En la version latina, Adan enfrenta al diablo quien engaño a Eva otra vez, convenciendola de abandonar su penitencia en un rio. (ambos estaba haciendo penitencia en un rio). Alli, el diablo le grita las razones por las que decidio perjudicarlos despues de que Eva le reclama por haberles arruinado la vida.
El diablo grita que el culpable de todo es Adan. Porque cuando el fue creado, todos los angeles tuvieron que homenajearlo y el se nego. El diablo discutio con su hermano Miguel, quien le exigio que homenajeara a Adan pero el diablo se nego, y los angeles menores que eran sus subditos le siguieron la corriente. Al final, el diablo declaro que su creacion era mas gloriosa que la de Adan y que, por ende, el debia ser mas respetado que Dios y, por logica, tenia que ser el altisimo. (Queria ser dueño del server)
Al final, Dios se cabreo y expulso al diablo y a sus seguidores del cielo, haciendolos caer.
El diablo estuvo tan enojado que tramo un plan para hundir a Adan, aprovechandose de la inocencia de Eva. Y ahi ocurrio todo lo de la manzana.
Si, el diablo es muy rencoroso con su novio.
Pero el siguiente texto, buff... se paso tres pueblos.
Tercer dibujo
Llegamos al ultimo anillo del infierno.
Si los mitos anteriores te parecieron incomodos, agarra el culo que vienen curvas.
EL PRIMER Y SEGUNDO LIBRO DE ADAN Y EVA, tambien conocido como LOS CONFLICTOS DE ADAN Y EVA CON SATANAS/DIABLO.
(Aclaracion: Tanto lucifer como Satán son el mismo personaje aquí. Ambos tienen el mismo backstory y la misma importancia celestial previa a la caida.)
Aqui la cosa se pone MUY TURBIA porque se explora la psique humana.
¿Que ocurre cuando dos personas toman consciencia y experimentan por primera vez el dolor?
Esta novela explora eso.
Adan y Eva son conscientes de si mismos pero no saben que es exactamente lo que van a sufrir. Y esta novela va a dejarles claro que su pecado sera terrible.
Se explora como sienten hambre y sed por primera vez, como tienen miedo a la oscuridad pues nunca han experimentado algo asi. Como sienten frio y arrepentimiento. Ambos seguiran desnudos por un buen tiempo.
La primera parte es de las mas dolorosas, pues Adan y Eva, en su dolor y TERROR a cometer otro error y recibir la ira de Dios, acaban en un estado de desnutricion y con un sed terrible. Con ese desgastante aspecto, ambos abandonan la cueva de los Tesoros, donde Dios los dejo, para volver al Eden y suplicar perdon.
Dios les dice que no les permitira volver y que su castigo durara miles de años. Y tras miles de años, recibiran el perdon por su trasgresion. Ahora deben regresar y seguir sufriendo por culpa de sus errores.
Adan, con el corazon roto, avanza hacia un acantilado y se lanza hacia el mar. Eva, mirando como su esposo ha elegido el suicido, se arroja con el. Los angeles terminan rescantandolos y curando sus heridas. Despues, los angeles los devuelven a la cueva de los tesoros.
El diablo, en colera porque Dios amaba mas a Adan que a el, decide armar varios planos para arruinar la relacion entre Adan y Dios. La historia de la penitencia en el rio se repite y es por los mismos motivos. El diablo fue expulsado porque se nego a arrodillarse frente a Adan.
Entre las muchas cosas que el diablo le hace a Adan se encuentran: los multiples engaños que realiza a la pareja, haciendose pasar por angeles; luego, el diablo les roba a Adan y a Eva el unico alimento que Dios les dio para sembrar, un higo; en otra ocasion, Adan y Eva rezan a Dios, y el diablo se enoja tanto que llama a su grupo de angeles para propiciarles una paliza mortal a Adan y a Eva; luego tento a Cain para matar a su hermano Abel y para herir a sus padres; y en el ultimo engaño, el diablo se disfraza de la "hermana de Eva" e intenta seducir a Adan, aprovechandose de su depresion tras la muerte de Abel, para acostarse con el y hacer que abandone a dios, prometiendole una familia de 5 hijos.
En esta version, Adan es una persona muy depresiva y traumatizada, quien teme hacer cualquier cosa nueva que Dios no apruebe. Pues teme que Dios lo odie y maldiga otra vez, asi que TODO por lo que siente curiosidad o atraccion es informado a Dios primero para ver si le permite experimentarlo.
Su devocion a Dios es tal que es capaz de hacer penitencias de pasar hambre, sed por 40 dias en un rio, solo con el objetivo de que Dios lo perdone. Aunque Dios si ama a Adan y Eva, y los protege del diablo. Es solo que a Dios le apena que Adan haya comido el fruto prohibido, pero no odia a Adan. Adan se sobreesfuerza demasiado buscando el perdon y el amor de Dios, aunque ya lo tiene.
Tambien es un marido amoroso que ama mucho a su esposa, a quien protege y por quien reza. Pues cuando nacio Cain, Eva sufrio tanto por Adan que decidio abandonarlo e irse, aun embarazada.
En trabajo de parto, Eva reza misericordia pues no se encuentra en un estado sano pero nadie le escucha.
Adan preocupado, rezo por ella y los angeles bajaron a auxiliarla.
Al final, la pareja termina feliz, el uno al lado del otro como un par de amantes que ha recibido el infierno en la tierra.
Yo personalmente todavia sigo sorprendida de que el Diablo hubiera intentado ser la esposa de Adan. Del odio al amor hay un paso...

What would a drawing of Michael and Adam in Eden look like?
(If they met in Eden, of course) And one more thing, is Michael taller than Lucifer? Or are they the same height? (short)
Michael back then was more cautious and clumsy (he was terrified of breaking the rules). So, he just went into the garden to look for his brother. But he ended up running into Adam, who (for me) would be someone SO curious. At least back then.
Andd, No. In fact, they did have the same height during their growth. But then, Michael grew taller than Lucifer.
(Although Mike still looks short with his brothers Gabriel and Raphael)
