[ shifts a little when she does, making a sleepy noise. ]

The costume was unmistakable, this was his predecessor. But also not his predecessor. And due to that, any hope of the wormhole prior leading Jaime to his home dimension was dashed.

At least he could take away one positivity from this: he’d finally be able to meet the second Blue Beetle, even if it wasn’t exactly the one from his world. It still counted in some way.

She noticed his get-up. This kid was obviously not one of the thugs she'd been investigating these last few nights. Though, she had to question how he got in here. She looked around, noticing there was no obvious point of entry. She was sure she had locked the door behind her.  

[ he grumbled again and huffed after a moment. ]
