Tech Doom Squad

I'm so happy to be able to catch the end of the live stream! Question: I was just promoted at my company to replace a much-loved production manager. What suggestions do you have on keeping the company firing on all cylinders while also not becoming someone that my theater family hates? Also, I'm a tech and board op by training, and have been told I bring that perspective to the table in a good way and bad way recently. Thoughts and suggestions?

Hi Liz! I talked to you before about a props apprenticeship at Hartford Stage (which I'm doing now. Yay!) But I would like to apply to Julliard's props apprenticeship for next year. Thoughts? Likelyhood of getting it? Tips? I am a college dropout, but I've got Hartford, a few summer stocks, and carpentry under my belt.

Ok biggest technical fail during a show GO! (I'll go first-we forgot to turn the smoke alarms off when using haze and we had to evacuate during a performance)

What are your thoughts on the word techie? I personally don't mind it but that's what I have always been referred to as and I don't really understand why people don't like this word.
