My unpopular opinion about this character: I wouldn’t have minded less of him and more of Sloan and Don and Maggie. Also I didn’t cry or feel remotely upset when he died I was too busy being angry about the crappy slow mo.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: him and Lee confirmed canon and him being Reese’s dad.
