These are the parts that I bought on Amazon to go with my Raspberry Pi. All these parts worked perfectly with it and you shouldn't have any problems with the Pi not getting enough power when plugging in external components to it, like a external hard drive or a keyboard and mouse.

USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader for Windows, Mac, and Linux

Raspberry Pi Case 

HDMI Input to VGA Adapter Converter ( I used an old VGA monitor, but if you have an HDMI monitor or TV you'll need to buy an HDMI cable instead of this )

USB WiFi Adapter

And that should be all of the parts you'll need to get the Pi up and running, enjoy! 

            I found a free VPN app yesterday called Go Any Site. It says on the site that it will let you access sites like (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc) that might be blocked in your country (like China), school, work, etc.

It works pretty well and is really easy to set up because of the "Start Auto Setup" button in the app. It also has detailed instructions under the "Help" tab if you need them. 

From what I've found out about it, it's completely free and you can use it on both iPhone and Android. 

I could write a whole bunch of words about what Bottlenose is, and what it does, or I could just let you watch this video. 

According to the site:

"Bottlenose helps to solve the problem of stream overload — or what we call The Sharepocalypse." 

Right now you can connect both Twitter and Facebook, but I'm sure there will be more sites added in the future.

You've probably heard of the "major redesign" Twitter announced earlier this week (if not you can watch the above video).

Right now you can either wait until Twitter rolls out the new design to you, or you can follow these steps. 

Go to either the App Store or the Android Market and download the official Twitter app, or update the app if you already have it. 

Once you sign into the app you should then get the new Twitter desktop site. 

I'm going to show you how to add some social media icons to your Diaspora* profile so that you can link to other sites that you're on, like Facebook, Twitter, and others.

The first thing you need to do is find a pack of social media icons that are free to use, like this one: Elegant Social Media Icons. Just extract that pack of icons to your desktop or somewhere else on your computer once you're finished downloading it.

Next you'll need to find a free Image Hosting website like this one: ImageShack or you can use another site as long as it allows you to get the direct link to the image.  

Next you'll upload the icons from the pack you download onto ImageShack or the other site that you chose and you should make sure you can get the direct link like shown in picture below.

                           Now go to your profile page and click on the blue "Edit My Profie" button and go down to the "Your private profile" part of the page. Now in the "your bio"section  insert the markup language below, replacing my URL links with your own.

After you finish that just click the blue "Update Profile" button at the bottom of the page and the icons should appear on your profile like in the below picture and link to your other sites.                

First of all I like that the site is really clean and simple to use. 

I also like that the site isn't run by a huge company like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. are. 

I like that we the people actually own our data instead of it being sold so that advertising companies get rich off of us. 

Being able to automatically share updates from the site to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr is also a huge plus. 

The fact that you can change who can view your posts before you post is also a plus for me. 

The tag feature on the site is way better than Google Plus' Sparks idea, and is actually useful. 

The community of helpful and interesting people on Diaspora is also something you won't find on almost every other social site. 

The fact that there's no games on Diaspora is great because there's no spam! 

I absolutely love the cubbi.es app for the site, and hopefully there will be many more apps like it that make the site fun to use. 

Being able to style your posts before you post them is also pretty cool. 

These are just some of the reasons I love Diaspora!

Twitter has finally released their new built-in photo sharing feature. 

It's really easy to use, as you can see from the above pictures.

As you can see from the picture, Twitters using Photobucket to host and power the new image feature. 

If you click on the image in the tweet, or on the link you'll go directly to the single tweet and it will display the picture that you posted, but in a larger size.
