Why wasn’t I enough?

it's always a big mistake when my eyes open in the morning

Staying up into the late hours of the night thinking of ways to kill yourself is something else entirely.

When you grow up in an abusive home, you don’t become a people pleaser to please people. You become a people pleaser to keep the potential for more abuse away.

I’m so drained that no amount of asleep can fix
