I’m not going to respond to the “Damon has changed” arguments anymore.  Because, no, I don’t think he has.  He treats Elena better than the rest and treats others in accordance to how she would judge him for it and that doesn’t mean a lot anymore either (4x10).  He would kill any of them and not think twice about it.  Tyler’s getting in the way (despite Tyler sacrificing his body time and time again for all of them)? Kill him (4x09).  Damon hasn’t changed.  

ETA: I’ve decided to stop responding to this argument because it never leads anywhere.  Damon fans will never accept that he hasn’t changed because it only matters to them that he treats Elena better.
