I feel like this extends to twitter too… its so clear when people don’t like hockey and it give sharks fans on there such a bad rep. You might think well who cares about rep but I do. Especially when trying to engage with hockey discussions bc the minute they find out im a sharks fan im immediately dismissed bc of the reputation we have on there.

Im hoping the people treating this as a passing phase leave in the next month or two bc they have made it so hard for the rest of us to exist as an actual fan. We get reduced to willmackers who know nothing about the sport even though I have never posted about willmack on main ever

hey so we’ve had a lot of fun in the tag today but i just saw somebody posting a willmack fic on tiktok, and it’s a fic that’s not archive locked either

like, can we not do that? can we please archive lock all of our fics and not post them on an algorithm based platform that we know will smith hockey and grace smith hockey actively use?!

I’m starting to feel like a cop and I hate it but if you’re posting a WillMack fic please lock it! Back when there were a couple hundred fics they would always be locked but with this new wave of fans there’s a lot of fics that aren’t.

If you don’t know how to lock your fics message me I’m happy to show you how to do it but leaving your fics unlocked means they are searchable for anyone to see. In rpf spaces it’s typical to lock your fics (I know some of you are new to rpf)

I loved Heated Rivalry but every time a WillMack edit blows up Im subjected to the most torturous comment section where I then have to see the most annoying questions/comments and I immediately want to close the app. Close the gates and stop perceiving these boys. Some of these edits have 300k-600k likes too. In comparison to last year where it would get like 5
