国际艺术教育 Art Education on a Global Stage

该课程培养了学生的批判性思维，同时提高了基础制作能力，并向学生们介绍了艺术家和设计师们制作过程中使用的各种方法，为了使每个主题更加具体，每个主题被设计成由多个阶段组成。学生们提出问题, 并且展示了调查问题，搜集参考资料, 用各种材料试验,制定决策,记录结果的能力。通过本课程的学习，他们能够流利表达出自己的想法和制作过程。整个过程涉及到最初的灵感，探求，技术学习，解决问题和演示诸多方面。

This course builds critical-thinking skills in tandem with foundation making skills. Students are introduced to different methods in which artists and designers approach the making process. Each topic is organized as a multi-phased process allowing for extended engagement in specific topics.  Students formulate questions and demonstrate the ability to investigate topics, search for references, experiment with materials, make decisions, and document results. Through the course, they are able to articulate their thinking and making process as it relates to initial inspiration, exploration, technique acquisition, problem solving, and presentation.

Summer: 2D Poster to 3D Model

Students participated in a 1.5 day workshop transforming graphic rock posters (SWISSTED, by graphic designer Mike Joyce), into 3D spatial models.  We welcomed Italian architects Marcella and Stephano (www.instanthutong.com/) to lead the project and offer tips working in 3D. This project allowed students to develop individual ideas from a specific launching point and was the first time for many students to work in 3D.

通过记录制作过程，学生们也做到了对自己学习过程的真正理解。今年我们不但建立了个人项目作品集，而且还建立了最优项目作品集。 另外，该过程还推动了学生对Adobe Photoshop，Illustrator，InDesign等图像处理和排版软件的学习。在短短的一年内取得了不可思议的进步。

Students document their making process, which also informs the understanding of their learning process.  This year, we implemented both individual project dossier books and a culmination final dossier book.  In addition, the process facilitated students learning of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.  The progress made in one short year is incredible!

在毕业展览中，我们展示了77位学生的作品集。

今年的毕业展展示了中央美术学院国际预科班77位应届毕业生的作品。在为期四周的毕业课题项目中，学生们探索了“转变”这个主题，并按个人专业课程开发了作品。我们探讨一下问题，像：什么是可以转变的？存在哪几种转变？ 谁已经转变了？

The final exhibition this year showcased the work of 77 graduating CAFA IFC students.  For the four-week final project, students explored the theme of transformation and developed a final project in their chosen major of interest.  We explored questions such as: What can be transformed?  What kinds of transformation exist?  Who has transformed?
