Who was John Dewey? 

John Dewey was born on October 20, 1859 in Florida and died on June 1, 1952 in New York. He was an American philosopher, pedagogue and psychologist. 

Dewey studied philosophy in the United States, he has a pragmatic philosophy, different from the European one, is much more practical. He entered a high school as a teacher to teach philosophy, but then he was a professor at the university, in the philosophy of education. His pedagogy and school was developed during the 20th century.

Democracy School and How we think they were his most important books, in Democracy School, it is said that school should serve to form a new, more equal society and mostly a  more democratic society. In the other book  “how we think” a method of reflective thinking is explained, reflecting on what we learn and how to apply the scientific method in schools.

If you had the book, you would have a happy face.

Hi everyone!  Welcome to our blog! 

Our school is one of the newest in the neighborhood, which was founded in 2009. Our lessons go from preschool to 4th of ESO. Also, we have a middle grade professional training course. We only have one line in each course. We also hold extracurricular activities for children whose parents want them to stay after class like multisports, skating, English, Mou-te, dance, volleyball and basketball.

The school has many facilities, which uses the stage of children are, first we have 3 playgrounds, two of which  are on the ground floor and one is on the top floor, the ground floor. Those are used for preschool children and first years of primary, and above we have the "big one" of primary school and ESO, which is sometimes used by children to do psychomotricity.

The psychomotricity classroom is mostly used by children to do their classes in this subject, where those have all the material to carry it out. In the music classroom they go up to do "racons", which is a project of the school, each week different groups of different children go to do music, they take good care of music materials whose teachers give them.

The school has more facilities such as the laboratory, the multipurpose classroom, the dining room, the teacher’s room, the changing rooms, the offices, the secretary...
