he's less surprised, honestly more intrigued, knowing alastor held such a thought. it was no secret that the overlord harbored somewhat of an obsession with the radio demon and that they had quite a troubled past. in reality, although he'd rarely admit this out loud, much of vox wished he'd be able to go back to when he and alastor weren't enemies.

there's a brief moment of satisfaction, for once feeling like the cards might be in his favor, that there's a real chance he might come out on top after this one. but truth be told, deep down he actually missed the closeness he harbored for the other. it was a kind of closeness he'd never felt comforted by nearly as much, coming from anyone else. he longed to feel that again; and, now knowing what lingered within alastor's mind, he can't help but step closer, a smirk forming on his face.

how they'd managed to get here didn't really matter all that much to the man anymore. it's not the first time they've done this, he knows that; vincent was very much helpless in the face of alastor's charm — there was no way he lacked any bit of that. his want had manifested in the form of a hard-on that he had at first desperately tried to hide, but was too late in trying to conceal, and alastor's intrigue had only caused his desires to unleash from the gates that had been just barely keeping them at bay.

vincent was very much in the game of taking what he wanted. often, it didn't require killing to get it, but if it did, well ... he was okay with ( and even quite into ) that too.

and god, did vincent want the man that was currently below him. no, it was more like a need; an instinctive, carnal need. as desperately as he tried to maintain his control, the dam broke the instant his cock breached alastor's muscles, a needy moan escaping taut lips as he leans down to graze sharp canines across the other's ear lobe. deep down, he knows how taboo this is; society isn't very welcoming to interracial or same-sex couples. he'd thought about it a lot at first, and it really stuck with him then, but at this point in their interactions, vincent isn't thinking as much about it. there's definitely an attraction — physical, chemical, emotional, much more or a mix of some or all — he felt towards alastor, despite the difference in their skin tones and backgrounds. and honestly, while vincent had tried to fight it at first, the more he leaned into it, the more beautiful and authentic it felt. something about all this just felt ... right, if he has to describe it some way.

he'd obey alastor's orders, for that had been his plan; start slow and steady, as to not hurt the other, but with the more alastor would get used to the feeling, he'd pick up the pace and intensity, settling into a rhythm that felt good. ❝ reading my mind, ❞ he voices between breaths that slowly but surely become heavier, a pasty red blush working its way across his pale skin at alastor's name for him. hips would rear back — as far as he can with alastor's legs wrapped around him — before he'd gently swing them forward to work his way in, spreading the tight muscles apart, before repeating the process all over again.

❝ wait ... are you being serious right now? ❞ even after everything he did — threatened her, came after her reputation and that of the hotel's, harmed her friends — she wanted to sleep with him? there's almost a smirk of satisfaction; even after everything, she still wanted him. he'd had a lesson and listened to a spiel from her one time about forgiveness; maybe this was part of it. either way, he'd managed to get the princess of hell herself under his little finger, and in this moment, he wanted to take advantage of it.

he had to admit it, charlie was cute. and he found her bubbly personality and antics kind of ... enticing, at times. even if he often found himself stuck in the middle of them. and, he had to admit, sometimes seeing her and how hard she worked and seeing the passion with which she spoke almost inspired him to want to work to be a better person.

sheesh. the thought alone would have probably made his old self combust.
