As soon as Mia began talking, Shiro couldn’t help but to feel slightly uneasy. To have someone try to maintain a positive image just for… Him? Was it for him? Her eyes reflected a storm when faint footsteps could be heard, and Shiro only looked up for a little while until Mia requested him to take her away from there.

It was his job to assist others, no matter the obstacle that may be there. In this case, it would be Mia herself. She was someone, something, vibrant, colorful, a girl. Perhaps Shiro is a bit of a shy individual, and truthfully, he is. But even so, she seemed distraught, nervous to just get away.

"Okay, sure."

Two words. Simple. No questions asked.

… But even so, he stood still for a while- as if he hesitated to reach out and get in physical contact with her. Oh, the problems of being woman shy. He let out a quiet sigh, bit his tongue harder and gave in, grabbing Mia’s hand and letting the bag get even looser from Mia’s grasp. His grip onto her hand was gentle, perhaps even a bit comforting, and he pulled only slightly as they walked.

"We’ll go to the garden, with the beehive and everything."

Ten words. Complex enough.

“ Thanks, buzzy friend! “

There’s relief in her words, exasperation showing as a prominent feature of her words. The sun begs of the moon for help; and the moon is humble about it, the sun is ever grateful. Their gravitation is a lovely thing. 

Her hand is caught and she thinks nothing of it-- but the grip on her bag tightens, fingers firm. The other set curls around his delicate palm; her own rough with use. Ah, the difference is a bit stunning to say the least. Feet light and heart a drum in her throat, her face aches with the injuries--

But it’s fine. This is fine.

“ Ahh-- we’re gonna have to be careful not to disturb the buzzing bumble bees, yeah? “

“ I’m worried.. really worried-- what happened out there--? He didn’t t--tell me.

Mia was always a shining star amongst the dull people in Hope’s Peak. While Shiro wasn’t one to approach, he was more of an observant person. His gloomy eyes always looking idly on. The two of them were quite opposites, actually. A boy who seems to have no interest in anything, and a girl with curiosity in her mind.

It was weird to see her hunched over like that so suddenly.

And to Shiro’s ‘delight’ he happened to be standing at an appropriate place to ask. It almost took a while, as if the words just didn’t want to crawl out. The more he talked, the more it felt like his throat was burning.

"…Are you okay?"

 Three words. He managed to utter out three simple words. His throat clenching and feeling like it was closing its ability to talk, Shiro bit his tongue. After all, to let someone too close to him would be dangerous, reckless, and almost terrifying, but.. His interest was slightly piqued. Just slightly. 

The sun and moon; as one is the attractive queen that gives life; that all love and cherish-- there is the opposite. The moon, calm and quiet but still lovely. The sun adores the moons quiet strength, as the moon is compelled by the suns radiance. 

She’s still hunched over when he speaks, looking up suddenly--

A black eye; a busted lip-- bruises like flowers on her cheekbone. But she still smiles when she sees him, bright and happy as always. Posture is straightened and those heavy breaths still shake her shoulders.

“ Buzzy friend, hello hello! Mia hasn’t seen you in a while-- and I’m been looking too! Haha-- um-- “

She looks down, reaching up to scratch her cheek, and regrets his decision. Another laugh and she’s holding the bag more loosely, but then there are footsteps-- and there’s alarm in her eyes. Head swiveling back and forth, shifting slightly on her feet.

“ Hah... hah-- “

She seems out of breath; her clothes clinging to her in obvious sweat. She’s clutching something to her chest-- a bag, it seems like it. Hunched over like this-- she seems much smaller than usual.

“You don’t know where Tokyo University is? Waiting outside is just until I see you on the cameras, though… I know the safe routes through the campus.”

Well, if she didn’t want to, she didn’t want to. Nothing he could do about that.

“It’s good to know you’re not out here alone, though. Your brother and Chie’ve got to be a good team, if you all are still alive.”

“ N--no.. I’m sorry. “

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to-- oh, lord, she would love to catch up on all the knowledge she hadn’t grown up with. But.. she doesn’t want to impose herself onto him.
