seriously, it is insane how long we've been friends. but because of that, we've also been through what feels like a ridiculously large amount of crazy on all sides. you, me, other people bringing it in. but we managed to get through it all together, albeit barely hanging on by a string some days. but i think all that made our friendship a lot stronger than it ever would have been otherwise. i'll never forget how hard it was to get your parents to like me, or how hard it was when we were both trying to sort through who we were as a pair of teenagers who just wanted to be normal, not feeling fundamentally broken, who didn't want to have to work through being just a little bit different. we never did want to be very different, but i guess that's just how the cards fall, eh? so we embraced it, and look where we are now. much happier with ourselves and with others at the very least, that's for sure.
we've been through a lot, my little ridiculous chunk of obsidian. and we're still going through some of it, and we're not getting away from it. that's alright though, that's part of what made us the people we are now, and i don't know about you, but i kind of like being the people we are today. just know i'll always be there when you need to bitch or need someone to take care of you for a few days or if i ever have to hold you through another night of shaking, even if i'll kick your ass for that last one too. but you knew that already.
there's no real proper way to end this, so i'll just leave you with this. i love you ella, you're the best friend i ever could have asked for.
