octavian “tave” hampton is 23 years old, born and raised on the north side of chicago, illinois. he has a mom and dad still happily together, and a younger sister who is 14.

tave recently graduated from depaul university with degrees in computer science and computer engineering. six months after graduating, tave was offered quite the higher paying tech job in seattle, so he made the move, now living on his own in a modern little one bedroom apartment furnished to his liking. he is very tech savvy and loves all things social media, gaming, tech gadgets, etc. he even once built his own computer in middle school.

he had a great childhood and a rather privileged one; his family isn’t filthy rich or anything, but they’ve always been pretty well-off, so money had never been a huge issue for him growing up. because of this his sense of style is pretty on point. very similar to niall’s recent fashion sense irl, and can definitely be glasses!niall at times; he wears them especially when he’s working. although he’s always been humble, he does appreciate the finer things in life: partying with the good alcohol (not the cheap stuff, he’s that guy who always orders craft beer over everything else lmao), traveling, spontaneous adventures, treating himself to cool shit whenever, taking people on nice af dates. he’s like a preppy frat boy who was never in a frat lmao. always the one breaking the ice and pouring shots for everyone at parties.

tave is a gentleman to his love interests and a loyal friend to his buddies. however, he’s labeled as “the fervour” because everything he feels, he feels intensely. he doesn’t like to hide his feelings, always telling people exactly how he feels about them. when he loves someone, he loves them fiercely, whether it’s an s.o., a lover, a best friend–no matter. he can be very opinionated; he does his best to stay out of drama/trouble but when he feels strongly enough about something he’ll make sure to say it. he also just loves talking, especially about his interests, and will hold a conversation that captivates him forever if you let him.

tave’s biggest downfall and the most important thing to remember is his temper. he’s very easily agitated and any of his exes can confirm this. he’s so prone to getting into arguments because he always feels the need to get what he has to say out of the way first. he’s had his fair share of fist fights with assholes in bars. basically, tave is a good person, but he’s not afraid to defend himself or others, and when it comes to vocal arguments, he’s very regretful once he’s calmed down from them because his words are almost always just a lash-out without really meaning them. tave would never put his hands on a woman… on another man? probably, and he has. but he doesn’t enjoy it. he’s hardly ever able to control his temper. once it’s rising, there’s no going back until he’s had his bout of anger and it runs its course. this is his greatest insecurity. he knows it’s a problem, and he hates it about himself, but good luck trying to get him to admit that out loud.

his second biggest downfall… jealousy. he’ll do just about anything to get what he wants in life and when it doesn’t go his way or he sees someone else with what he wants, he’s ugly jealous. this makes him very protective over the people he dates because as said before, when he loves someone, he loves them deeply, and the thought of them being with anyone else but him drives him crazy.
