Her fingers twitch before dropping it back down towards her waist side.

"I thought I had almost lost you. I had a few strings pulled. I would never disturb those graves but.. You needed your little girl." She turns back to him holding out a small bracelet. "She asked for me to deliver this to you personally."

I’m genuinely convinced you could write about something completely ordinary...like buying toothpaste or waiting in line at a grocery store, and somehow make it emotionally devastating in the best way.

Your writing has this really rare quality where it feels effortless, but you can tell there’s so much thought and honesty underneath it. Nothing feels fake or overdone. It just sounds true. And that’s probably why it sticks with me so much afterward.
