Flicker was confused by the two’s long silence for a moment, but then he assumed they were communicating possibly via comm link. He didn’t want to interrupt them and remained quiet while waiting.
Finally Bulkhead addressed Flicker again and the small mech straightened a little to show that he was listening. Honestly, Flicker didn’t mind either one of them, but… he felt like he needed some time to sort his processor out in peace. Then again, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to be left all by himself so soon after his arrival to this place he still didn’t really know.
“If, um, if it’s okay, I could go with you,” he finally replied to Bulkhead. Bumblebee seemed like a fun bot, but he might’ve been a bit too energetic for Flicker to handle right now. Flicker really hoped he wouldn’t mind.
Yeah, Bulkhead wasn’t surprised. Bumblebee was everybody’s friend, but unless you had a lot of patience or a lot of energy, you probably wouldn’t get along too well. It was just luck that he’d so few friends fresh off the energon farm that Bee was the perfect first choice for new companion.
“You can stay with me,” he assured immediately, waving for Flicker to follow. “I’m gonna have to move some stuff around, but I’m not as bad as him— being in Bumblebee’s room is like watchin’ that human show Hoarders, but I think there’s less dead things.“
The room he stayed in was not neat, splattered with paint, a pile of ruined canvases and general industrial scrap piled up in the corner. But it seemed like he made an effort to keep it some sort of orderly.
