Who would've thought that one misunderstanding could get them into such a mess?
The team had been sent to look for a couple of campers who'd supposedly gotten lost in one of the largest primeval forests of Griffin Rock. The news about approaching storm that was dangerously strong had pressured the team to act fast.
However, after the team had dispersed, Chief Burns had let them know that the caller had contacted him again. The group of campers they'd been looking for had left the forest already and had just reached a hotel – they'd failed to inform the caller about their change of plans sooner due to an empty phone battery.
Just as the team was about to gather up again, the storm hit. And the news had not exaggerated its size.
Flicker wasn't sure how long he'd been unconscious. But when he came to, he noticed that his whole frame hurt. Bad. He quickly realized that a tree had fallen on him.
It felt like an eternity, but finally the small mech was able to dig his way out from under the tree trunk. The heavy rain and fierce wind made it difficult to look around. He started to limp forward, proceeding from tree to tree, leaning against each one for support for a moment before continuing.
Suddenly Flicker noticed a distinct, dark shape in distance. A cave? He started to make his way slowly towards it. Just as he reached the entrance, he collapsed to the ground, exhaustion and pain weighing down his frame.
Flicker wasn't sure if anyone was in there – he couldn't see clearly – but he still let out a quiet plea:
"Help."
