@flicker-bot
Normally, after a fire had died out and they had ensured no hot spots remained, Heatwave and Kade would have been accompanying and assisting the property owner with the salvage and clean up of said property.
This time, however, a warehouse owned by the city had burned. Mayor Luskey had declined Chief Burnsβ invitation to send someone from city hall to claim anything that might have been salvageable, and Kade was glued to the firehouse computer, feverishly tearing through his continuing education hours in order to renew his certification. But Heatwave hadnβt been left to fend for himself in the clean up process, Flicker had volunteered to come along and help him out.
The firebot stood just outside the cordon of yellow police tape surrounding the charred skeleton of the building and sighed.
βThis is going to be really dirty work. Weβll start with the outlying wreckage and work our way toward the center.
