Just saw someone get mad about everyone in the furby having “transmeds DNI” in their posts and say “this community is supposed to be SAFE from that” like what? A community of young trans and nb people is supposed to be a haven for harboring hate for other trans and nb people? Safe from opinions? We’re people behind these screens and part of being in a fandom like this is making sure we’re all comfortable and having fun together and we’re not about to accept a bigot because “iTs JuSt FuRbIeS wHy aLl ThE dRaMa”

alright kids, listen up, the furby fandom and politics are two things that shouldn’t be mixed. i personally believe you need gender dysphoria to be trans, but i keep that off my furby blog. I respect yalls pronouns (even the neopronouns some of yall use) and would never misgender anyone. I use my furby blog as an escape from trans discourse bc that shit is exhausting and seeing things like ‘transmeds dni’ on some of my favourite blogs is really upsetting. I don’t care about your opinions in discourse, i just want to enjoy myself and look at furbies?? I’m not gonna start discourse w anyone on my furby blog bc i’m respectful, but saying people who hold a certain opinion can’t enjoy your content is complete utter bullshit?
