"Alright, you can count on me!"

So I’m (sort of) back from hiatus in that I’m a bit more rested and my drawing program works again, but I don’t have much new to actually show, so here’s some drawings from a while ago for a couple of Classic Yo-kai.

Suika and Makiwauri are two samurai with different types of melons for heads, and they fight. That’s all they are. They appeared in one picture and had no tales about them recorded. If you wanna find out all that we know about them, here you go:

I actually decided I wanted them and drew them way before I picked the Shikoku location for my Watcher. Good thing they’re rōnin, which means they travel and I don’t have to change a thing about them. Except maybe redraw them sometime in the future because I’m a better artist now.

The reason I wanted to post these now is because I just yesterday had a fun idea for a twist on them.

I could just make a third who’s another different kind of melon! This one’s the Yūbari King, from Yūbari, Hokkaido! It’s main thing is that it’s expensive, and since this guy isn’t a Classic, I can go ahead and give him an Inspirit that makes things expensive, which is an annoyance that’s become very notable in the last 10 years, so these still end up fitting my other themes!

i cannot imagine attempting to sit on a sleeping ōgama is a good idea. nor would it be pleasant for either party involved.
