WIP... Decided that I should maybe continue my vampire series...

Thank you so much for all of the support with this. Yet another design by my boyfriend. Apart from the vampiric traits, his headcanon design for him is very tactical and rugged.. But in accordance to the trait that this piece was meant to highlight, though all of the DIO offspring would have prominent canines, I really wanted to highlight that with Ungalo specifically.. When it came to how he is as a vampire, we sort of envisioned it in the way where his general "aura" as a vampire is more in line with Vanilla Ice.. As for how I approached it, I don't usually do greyscale in my rendering, but I used this as an opportunity to play around with it as a method of coloring!

Dipping into the headcanon designs that my incredible boyfriend conjured up for the rest of the sons. He is responsible for creating this whole vision in DIO actually raising his sons alongside me, and who I have developed this whole passed-along vampirism with... This was actually the first piece of the series I finished, which was initially a sketch warmup with marker brushes.. For Don, the vision was that his main vampiric trait would be really intense, piercing eyes, even moreso than canon.. I'm very happy with this and I'm so glad that this was where the idea for the series started!

This one is much, much more influenced by headcanon compared to Giorno... For this piece, it ended up being the most "dynamic" and I rendered closer to what is typical for me. In my vision of Rikiel, I really enjoy thinking about him becoming deeply in touch with his vampirism and using that as a way to feel powerful over others and establish a lot of confidence in himself. I like thinking about him having his anxiety most prevalent during the day, while in a less "bizarre" plot line, he might enjoy prowling gothic nightlife, where he can use his own vampiric allure to seduce others or find his own commune. I generally enjoy thinking about him being extremely proud of being descended from DIO and doing anything to emulate him (even in the case he never directly knew DIO, but in my vision, DIO raises his sons). In the case he'd be raised by DIO, I think it would even be down to him stealing DIO's clothes to wear out. I like Rikiel.....

This is the first of a series of four pieces I experimented with where I wanted to use four different rendering or sketch approaches in creating portraits of each of the sons, featuring their vampiric traits. For Giorno, my vision is simple. I like to believe he would carry on a very sophisticated, aristocratic appearance, and a really entrancing beauty direct from DIO. I wanted him to have a glow, and so this portrait was done entirely and only with the airbrush tool (which, really, was partially just to challenge myself). But overall, I love Giorno depicted with that vampiric allure like DIO, and tried my best to show that in this portrait.
