I'm just curious, is it serious?

“If the feeling is mutual, you should ask me out for a drink. I’d like to flirt with you outside of the walls of this building”, Amber said boldly, confident that the other woman would be interested in that. “Unfortunately not, I’d have to stop giving you compliments entirely as I’d be worried about over-inflating your ego”, she teased. “Wednesday afternoons usually work well for me, I don’t have work or classes so I could easily come and watch you”.

“Do I?” She asked with a grin. Yasmine shrugged, seating herself on the edge of her bed. “I guess I shouldn’t joke about dancing, then,” she noted, smirking since most of her music was definitely not fit for this situation. “You might want to connect your phone to that.”

“honestly at some point when i have time, i might have to take you up on that offer.” lily considered. “the blonde hair suits you and its a shame that she’s so traditional.” she often wondered about her own parenting styles and really hoped that she wouldn’t become that person for her daughter. “yeah, violet. she goes here. i did have another sister but she died when i was a kid.”

“What a line,” she teased. “That is so soft.” Yasmine raised her eyebrows since the girl had been serious about showing her a dance, but ultimately gave a grin at her words. “Well I was joking, but since you weren’t I don’t see why not.”

“admirable or just a bad fighter?” lily put her hands in a weighing scale kind of motion, laughing. “i don’t even know how my parents would react. i don’t think my mum would expect it from me. my sister, sure, but me, no.”

“Then we’re agreed that I’m not buttering you up, I’m just being very honest about the fact that I find you attractive and charming”, Amber told the other woman. “Something tells me that if I give you too many compliments, your ego might get too big”, she teased. “At least this time you’ve been asked to show off, that definitely works in your favor here”.

Tamsin let out a light laugh, smiling at the girl. “Then may I say the feeling is very mutual?” she flirted back. She chuckled as she was teased. “What if I tell you my ego is already pretty big? Will that give me more compliments?” she teased back. “Well just name the time and place and I will give you quite the show.”

“i’m definitely more of a use words and talk it out person. fighting just seems useless for me. plus i’d definitely get my ass handed back to me.” lily told her. 

“Like pink hair bows and bubblegum cute or cute cute?” She asked, making no move to protest when she was backed into the door, chuckling once. Yasmine’s lips met hers just as lightly, a grin forming once she pulled away. “You’re an idiot,” she said when Tamsin apologized, rolling her eyes as she did so.

She drummed her fingernails on top of the table they were both sitting at, her mouth curving into a half smile. “The way you didn’t run off when I tried to scare you away with my attitude, I guess,” Lovey replied simply. “Head cheerleader. I’m in the air a lot more than on the ground, though.” The smaller girl chuckled. “As much as I’d love that, I don’t know if I’ve got the time.” An eye roll came from Lovey when she started flirting again. “Well, this conversation was nice while it lasted,” she taunted jokingly, getting up as if to leave her there.

Amber just smiled when the other woman said that she appreciated that. “Is it really trying to butter you up if I’m telling the truth?” Amber questioned. “If you’re good at something, you should definitely show off. It’s what I would do if I was in your shoes”.

Tamsin couldn’t help the small chuckle at Amber’s words. “No, I suppose it’s not.” she said happily. “Feel free to keep the compliments coming. I’m pretty good at taking them.” she said playfully to the other girl. “Well I do try and show off often. especially in dance team. Just ask Addison, she’s always trying to rein me in.” she laughed. 

“Hi,” Yasmine greeted her back, a flush coloring her cheeks as she did so. It really wasn’t like her to get so nervous, but girls were a completely different ball game than boys. 

“That also doesn’t surprise me,” she said with a chuckle. “That’s what cheerleading is for me,” Lovey admitted with a nod. She wasn’t usually so agreeable, but she was finding it hard to keep up her mean streak. “You’re putting a lot of confidence in me, blondie. I could be a terrible dancer.” She raised her brows. “I can’t say I know the feeling, but it sounds like you do.” Lovey rolled her eyes. “Technically I threatened to slap you, and you were totally going to let me.” She pretended to think over the question before answering it. “I guess you’ll just have to figure that out all by yourself.”

;; “Oh God! When did I become a dork?!” Lexie joked back. “You know what? I’ll give you that. You sure are creative!”

“i definitely agree with you. i always thing it’s better to use words than use fists.” lil said, clearly not noticing any kind of flirting and just thinking the other girl was being friendly. “i will do!”

Tamsin chuckled softly. “Yeah that’s one way to put it.” she joked. “I mean don’t get me wrong, sometimes you need to fight a bitch, but I tend to use my charm to get out of those situations.” she admitted

“I’m definitely getting that special vibe from you’, Amber lightly flirted. “I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree here because I certainly think that I’m the lucky one”, she replied. “I don’t know if I’d be any good at dancing but I’d love to watch you perform sometime”.

Tamsin smiled as she noticed Amber starting to flirt back with her. “I appreciate that.” she said. She cocked her head to the side, her cheeks showing some color. “Well now you’re just trying to butter me up.” she said cockily. “Oh I’d love that. I’m a bit of a showoff.”
