      “  i’m  sorry  if  this  is  weird  .  “  she  approaches  them  with  caution  &  allows  her  smile  betray  her  ,  something  soft  &  sheepish  to  the  very  corners  .  sheepish  she  may  be  ,  but  persistent  ,  too  :  there  is  a  fake  it  til  you  make  it  sort  of  confidence  present  when  she  stretches  out  the  paper  torn  from  hefty  sketchbook  ,  the  pencil  lines  across  the  page  forming  near  perfect  portrait  .  the  truth  is  ,  “  you’re  beautiful  .  “  &  alina  sees  no  point  in  LYING  .  they  were  a  perfect  subject  ,  and  now  that  the  ink  has  dried  on  her  careful  signature  ,  it’s  time  to  let  the  practice  go  . 

“hey, i don’t know what your deal is, lady, but you should watch where you’re going,” he snaps at her, a frown casting a shadow over his brow. he’d silently witnessed the accident a few moments earlier, some careless soul spilling their coffee over the woman’s designer dress, and he contemplates for a second how much money that must have cost. he brushes at the faint stain on his sleeve, transferred over after the woman had bumped into him.

still, he doesn’t have the room to feel bad for her at the moment. (he rarely has the room for that nowadays). “you got some of your… coffee on me. shouldn’t you have learned that lesson ten seconds ago?”

charlie felt terrible. the stranger had hurried off before she had the chance to apologise, but she didn’t really blame her. it was completely her fault. the coffee had gone everywhere, and by some miracle, charlie was left completely unscathed. the coffee’s owner hadn’t been nearly as lucky, however.

so of course, she followed after her, offering an awkward grin when she finally caught up. “ i am so sorry! ” she said quickly, pulling off her bright red, zip-up hoodie and offering it to the woman. it didn’t look professional, but hey, it’d at least help her cover up while she got home and changed, right? it was better than nothing. “ here. take this. it’s the least i can do… i am such a klutz. ”

finally , when she got her coffee , she turned to leave only for someone to bump into her causing her to spill her coffee all over her black designer dress .  at that moment , she was so upset she could scream , but all she did was glare at the person , bumping her shoulder into them as she briskly walked past them in her stilettoes . 

once she got outside she called her boss telling him she’d be late because some idiot knocked into her making her spill her coffee all over her dress .  noticing someone next to her trying to speak she took her earbud out , ❝ what is it ？ i’m kinda in a rush right now . ❞
