Gosh, long time since I’ve been here.

Since I can’t comment (maybe some things changed, but I can’t see the comment bubble), just wanted to give @sidse-babett-knudsen the heads up about what “klamamse” means. It is (as @bluedogliebrarian discovered) a Danish slang to describe a very long and rather laborious text. So, if you have seen the whole video, she describes how she gets this huge text to learn by heart, using the very cute word “klamamse”.

Hey Shawna! I watched Westworld recently and I was hoping you could rec some of Sidse's other works? and maybe some other tumblr users that blog about her? Thank you sm!

My dear sweet Anon, Thank YOU so much for your ask! I’m so glad you watched Westworld, and I am definitely here to spread the Sidse Babett Knudsen love. Sidse’s other works: My number one recommendation is Borgen (Danish). Everyone should watching this absolutely incredible fictional political drama about Denmark’s first female PM, Birgitte Nyborg. It’s the TV show we all deserve: complex women, interesting and relevant storylines, hope, and SO MUCH SIDSE. If you need more incentive, see this post. The Duke of Burgundy (English/Netflix) is a beautiful, risqué drama by Peter Strickland.

L’hermine(Courted) (French) is a sweet romcomdram. Fabrice Luchini’s character is smitten with Sidse’s character. Lots of stunning shots of Sidse, and she speaks French. In Over gaden under vandet (Above the Street, Below the Water) (Danish), Sidse plays an actress and a pretty terrible mother (Her son is played by the same boy in Borgen). You see more of her comedic side.

You can see more of her (absurd) comedy roots in Blå mænd(Take the Trash) and Sover Dolly på ryggen? (Almost Perfect). Fun fact: Sidse plays a lesbian in both of these. But if you want comedy, it’s probably easier to watch her Tivoli skits.Susanne Bier’s Oscar nominated Efter brylluppet (After the Wedding) (Danish/Netflix) is all around great. Super dramatic shots of eyes. I DO NOT recommend Inferno (English) or A Hologram for the King (English). I haven’t been able to find/watch Let’s Get Lost, but it looks like a gem.

Chapeau for the great work here. I would mention the campy "1864", one of the worst historical dramas you will ever see. But the Sidse scenes are worth it (beware, not many of them). I would like to add two invaluable Sidse bloggers and original "6 and a shoelace" members @moocowmoocow and @aquentinblakeillustration Also - I do highly recommend the sweet and quirky "Let's get lost". I didn't realize it was so difficult to obtain, but you can hit me in private and I might have a solution ;)
