i don't really do pride or lgbt stuff if there isn't like a significant contingent of trans people lol. the fact of the matter is that if a cis gay person thinks you fit into, say, the niche of a lesbian in a way they think is cool and fun they will happily misgender you about it without a second thought. something something a person wanting to recognize Something of themselves in you to feel personally affirmed and not alone regardless of how you feel about it. something being pressed into convenient identities for the comfort and enjoyment of the cisgender people around you. etc and so forth
