i remember the first announcement when I joined was the alabaster filigree armour set. I think rainsong jungle came out soon after that. I will forever be annoyed that I couldn’t join earlier becase I knew about FR for aaaages before I joined but I alwasy missed the damn registration windows.

#my first witnessed gene release was thylacine #which was a little while after poi/tox from before i joined #well the coolest dragons at this time were poi/tox/thylacine #and i had the Prettiest midnight XXY with fire thylacine #and looking back at that combo now with how much we've been spoiled with good genes since #she's nice. but ew. that's such a rough and loud combo #colorful gene combos came at a price

I found an image of some clickbaity article and i saw a whole ass fae in its thumbnail and yeah, we've got a fae He looks so crudely shoved in there, the styles are so different. This is no fr dragon vape juice, but it's just crazy seeing these out in the wild with entirely stolen art.

Now to wonder if this is anyone's dragon... It looks like it's wearing a skin, maybe tapir/constellation/capsule? Cantaloupe/some purple or blue/turquoise?? Hm. It's a little low quality.

I think I might've found the skin/accent this fae is wearing!

Which means that the body is in the orange range (my guess for gene is possibly iridescent?), BUT the wings are NOT fully the skin! The wings are in the blue or purple range. It also doesn't cover the belly, which means that the blue on the belly IS the tertiary.

Doodledsoul has seemingly not been active in 7 years, but that doesn't explicitly limit down our search range, since accents can be resold. But it does make me wonder when the graphic was made - and the possibility of the dragon in it being exalted.

I will keep searching!

Ok so.

I've found that Starseed was a submission for Starfall Celebration 2017. I did not find any forum post by doodledsoul that implies they were actively selling it (though of course they may have quietly printed it and sold it through the auctionhouse)

My current theory is that the fae in the graphic may be one of the examples they used in the submission, these were hosted on discord, but I know a way to recover them.

Hmm I don't think that accent is the same we see in the picture... I think the accent is altering those top fins somehow.

I can't seem to find an iridescent yellow/orange primary color that has a lighter head, dark (or lighter) fins

circled in red the areas that seem to give us some clues...

I am LOVING how far this investigation is going so far. Great work y'all.

But I just noticed, this might be older art. They did an art update for iridescent on older breeds recently iirc. (recently as in within the last two years?? Idk what time is.)

This just adds layers to identifying, but i'll see if i can find old images of iridescent faes tomorrow after work. Going to have to do an announcements/old post hunt~

My current wishes are the items that are pausing my hibernal den task flow which are the scrolls for modern cinder and saddle as well as the abberation breed scroll. (And a dang silkmith)

I also wish for eggs. Those are great. I still have to hatch an arcane, a light, and a plague egg for the achievements. Or perhaps baldwin mats for brewing more bog eggs to hatch otherwise. :3

Doing my usual and very casual clearing out what i want and what I can sell from a fest has now backfired.

I go and purchase the skins I want, finish getting the joxar stuff I want, and then sell excess stacks of the fest currency at lah in the last few hours. Only to accidentally sell a whole dang stack for 63t instead of g.

Fuck I'm tired.
