He can’t help but return the smile. Their grin is contagious for someone who just had their own coffee spilled all over them. Hux wishes he were that EASYGOING.

While they start to begin to clean the coffee up, the redhead moves to fix his own papers that had been ruffled up in the impact. Luckily nothing had been ruined or anything. 

“ ah, been there done that. i mean,    i’m a teenager, though, so i have an    excuse. ”

                    they laugh and send him the friendliest                     wink of all time. no homo. they then let                     out a little “ oop ” as they drop their                     hands to pat their pockets and pull out                     their phone.

          ‘ it ain’t even a hashtag! it’s, like, some newspaper type of stuff, you know? we need people to be talkin’ ‘bout this. no joke, fam. ’ they look at the other, giving them an ‘i’ve got this ridiculous idea and you should run’ look. chocolate eyes seemed to bore into their soul. though icarus figured they probably shouldn’t propose the idea without introducing themself.

“ you are so right. oh my god.    holy shit, this needs to be, like.    a thing. stop sleepin’ on worm    feelings, y’know. ”

          they nod, eyes wide -- and then           a grin breaks out over their face.

one making awful breakfast for the other and the other eating it because they appreciate it that much

one putting their ridiculous music on in the car and singing along while the other sits in the passenger seat with their head in their hands

the two of them going down to the beach and one getting sunburned really badly so the other slathers them with aloe gel when they get home

one getting home from work later than the other and stretching out on top of them like a big lazy cat while they sit on the couch in front of the tv

one inexplicably bringing home an animal and refusing to drop it at the shelter so they and the other have to take care of it

the both of them going out to a park and getting ice cream to sit with and eat on a bench

one sending memes to the other while they’re at work so much they turn their phone off in exasperation

          ‘ like, it sounded like you said worms have feelins. i mean, i ‘ont think they do, but you never know. ’ 

“ i mean, why wouldn’t they? listen--    earthworms have five hearts. that’s    five as many hearts as we have,    which obviously means they feel    five times as much as we do. listen,    worms are people too. ”

          they huff a laugh.
